Bath Resealing in Baston
Our repair technicians come to Baston for bath, shower and sink resealing with new mould-resistant silicone. Nothing is taken out, with a one-year guarantee.
- An untidy old seal
- Discoloured, yellow sealant
- Silicone coming away from the tiles

Keeping it looking good
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Run the extractor fan during and after showers
- Open a window after bathing
- Don’t stand toiletries on the seal
- Wipe the joints dry after use
Run the extractor fan, dry the joints after bathing, and clean them regularly with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.
Reseal before water gets in. Gaps or lifting edges mean it needs doing.
Bath resealing in Baston without replacing anything
The key to a good reseal is getting all of the old silicone out. Fresh sealant does not stick to old, which is why so many DIY reseals peel. If you are dealing with stained silicone and a messy previous reseal, we can usually put it right, on wet rooms, shower trays & enclosures and kitchen worktops & sinks alike.
Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Lincolnshire.

Honest limits
Some jobs aren’t right for a repair, including:
- Water damage behind the bath that needs a builder
- Gaps so wide they need filling or trims before sealing
- A bath or tray that moves, until its support is fixed
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.
Surfaces we repair
- Baths
- Basins & vanity units

- Kitchen worktops & sinks
The process
We turn up when we said we would, introduces themselves and checks the damage against your pictures first. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. The work itself takes about two hours for a bath, and we leave the room as we found it.
- We cut out all of the old sealant.
- We remove the residue and clean the joint.
- We treat mould and dry the joint thoroughly.
- We fill the bath, or weight the tray, to open the joint.
- New mould-resistant silicone is applied and tooled neatly.
Preparing for the visit
- Have a window or extractor fan available
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

How we price bath resealing
We don’t charge extra for travel to Baston. The price comes down to:
- How hard the colour is to match
- How many items we do on one visit
- Access to the area
- What kind of damage it is
No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
Send photos for a quote
Phone photos are fine. Just make sure we can see:
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- A wider photo showing the whole bath or shower
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the whole bath or shower, include your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.
For landlords and businesses
For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, so there is no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. Several plots can be done in one visit to keep costs down.
We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Baston as well as householders. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it costs much less than replacing.
Why reseal now?
A reseal is one of the cheapest bathroom jobs there is and protects the walls and floor. Failed sealant can lead to water damage that is much more expensive. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it.

DIY kit or professional repair?
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.
