Bath resealing for Broad Alley homes

Bath resealing in Broad Alley without replacing anything

Resealing is one of the simplest ways to protect your bathroom. Failed sealant lets water get where it shouldn’t, and a new seal stops it. We regularly repair shower trays & enclosures, wet rooms and baths, and people most often call us about leaks at the edges and silicone coming away from the tiles.

Whatever the size of the job, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee in Broad Alley and across Worcestershire.

How we price bath resealing

We price every job individually. What matters most is:

  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • The material
  • The type of damage
  • Unusual colours or finishes

A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Quotes from your pictures

Good photos mean an accurate price. Here’s what helps:

  • Something in shot to show the size
  • One picture of the whole bath or shower
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection

Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them over with your postcode, and you will get a fixed price back. There’s no charge for the quote and you’re under no obligation.

Repairs by material

Sinks and worktops

We reseal basins, vanity tops and kitchen worktops, once the joint is completely dry.

Baths

Baths are resealed with water in them, to open the joint fully.

Landlord and trade work in Broad Alley

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. We can visit several plots in one trip.

Why reseal now?

A reseal is one of the cheapest bathroom jobs there is. Failed sealant can lead to water damage that is much more expensive. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it.

Why us?

  • Everything repaired in place
  • One visit for most repairs
  • Rooms protected and left tidy
  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited

Common problems we fix in Broad Alley

Sealant doesn’t last forever. Each shower leaves moisture and soap behind, which mould loves, and the joint moves slightly every time the bath is filled.

Contact us if you’ve noticed any of these:

  • Silicone smeared on tiles
  • Gaps by the taps
  • Sealant that’s split or lifting
  • Stained silicone

Aftercare tips

Most damage we see is avoidable. A few tips:

  • Dry the seal after bathing
  • Run the extractor fan during and after showers
  • Do not stand toiletries on the seal
  • Clean the joints with a mild cleaner

Keep the room well ventilated, and dry the joints after bathing.

If you notice damp, stains on the ceiling below or loose tiles, act quickly. There may be more going on, and we will say if you need a builder or plumber.

Broad Alley: your questions answered

Can you price it without visiting?

Nearly always. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures can’t show what we need.

Do you charge for travel?

We do not add a call-out fee. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.

What do you need from me?

Photos of the damage, a photo of the whole bath or shower and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.

My seal keeps tearing. Why?

The bath or tray is probably flexing. Persistent splitting can mean the support needs attention.

What happens once I’ve sent photos?

We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote with dates.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit. Everywhere else in the home is fine.

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include photos of each item.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Landlords are often glad to have it sorted.

How the visit works

It’s a tidy, low-fuss visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, cover and mask the work area, then carry out the work, which usually takes about two hours for a bath. If we find something your pictures didn’t show, we will explain it before carrying on.

  1. We cut out all of the old sealant.
  2. Residue is removed and the joint cleaned.
  3. Any mould is treated and the joint dried.
  4. The bath is filled with water, or weight put on the tray.
  5. New mould-resistant silicone is applied and tooled neatly.

Preparing for the visit

  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

You do not need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.

Advice

When we would advise against a repair

A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:

  • A flexing bath
  • Gaps too big for silicone alone
  • Loose tiles, which need refixing first

If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think.

What we work on

  • Kitchen worktops & sinks
  • Shower trays & enclosures
  • Basins & vanity units
  • Wet rooms
  • Baths
