Bath Resealing for Burrill homes
Bath resealing in and around Burrill: photo quotes, tidy work and a year’s guarantee.
- Leaks at the edges
- Old sealant that looks dirty
- Black mould in the sealant

Can I fix it myself?
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is typically cheaper.
Bath resealing in Burrill without replacing anything
We reseal baths with them filled with water, so the joint opens fully, so the seal doesn’t tear when the bath is first used. Whether it’s black spots in the silicone and old sealant that looks dirty, we can usually put it right, on shower trays & enclosures, basins & vanity units and wet rooms alike.
Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee.

Is resealing worth it?
Resealing costs very little, and it protects everything around the bath. Leaving failed sealant can let water cause damage that costs far more to fix. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed price from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.

- Sealant that is split or lifting
- Stained silicone

Burrill questions
What happens next?
We come back with a fixed quote, usually with dates to choose from. You’re under no obligation.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes, for a year. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.
Why does mould come back so fast?
Mostly moisture and poor ventilation. We use mould-resistant silicone, and ventilation helps it last.
Can you repair something that is been repaired before?
Generally, yes. Tell us what was done before and we’ll plan for it.
How long does silicone take to cure?
Normally about a day later. We’ll tell you the exact time.
What does bath resealing cost?
Because every job differs, we price from pictures. You’ll get a fixed figure before you book.
How do I book?
Send pictures through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787, and we’ll do the rest.
What if the damage is worse than the photos show?
If we find something the pictures didn’t show, we explain it first. The price only changes if you agree.
How to care for the repair
How the surface is treated afterwards matters:
- Replace the seal when mould sets in
- Keep the joints dry
- Do not stand toiletries on the seal
- Let steam out after showers
Leave the sealant to cure for the time we give you, generally around 24 hours.
Mouldy sealant is more than a cosmetic problem; it shows moisture is getting in. Resealing early keeps water out of the walls and floor.
What we do, step by step
Once we are through the door, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. We mask off everything nearby, the work takes a couple of hours, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.
- We protect the area and mask the joint lines.
- We remove the old sealant and every trace of residue.
- We clean, treat and dry the joint.
- Fresh silicone is applied in a continuous bead.
- We smooth the bead, remove the tape and leave it to cure.

Repairs by material
Sinks and worktops
Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, once the joint is completely dry.
Shower trays
Trays are sealed with weight on them, so the joint is at its widest.

Prices and what affects them
You won’t pay by the hour. The price depends on:
- The size and number of damaged areas
- The type of damage
- Access to the area
- Doing more than one item at once
Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
How to get a fixed price
You can take the pictures on your phone. Just ensure we can see:
- What it’s made of, if you know
- One picture of the entire bath or shower
- Natural light rather than flash
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
