Our technicians come to Clare Market for bath, shower and sink resealing with new mould-resistant silicone. Everything is done in place, with a one-year guarantee.

- Black mould in the sealant

Bath resealing at your home in Clare Market
The key to a good reseal is getting all of the old silicone out. New silicone will not bond to old, which is why so many DIY reseals peel. We’re frequently asked to fix water getting behind the bath or tray and silicone coming away from the tiles, on wet rooms, baths and basins & vanity units.
Whatever the size of the job, you get the same one-year guarantee in Clare Market and across Greater London.

DIY kit or professional repair?
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.
Different materials, different repairs
Sinks and worktops
We reseal basins, vanity tops and kitchen worktops, with the joint fully dried first.
Shower trays
We put weight on a tray before sealing it, so the joint is at its widest.
Aftercare tips
It’s all simple stuff:
- Wipe the joints dry after use
- Keep bottles off the joints
- Reseal at the first sign of lifting
- Clean the joints with a mild cleaner
Use the extractor fan, dry the joints after bathing, and clean them regularly with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.
Don’t wait until water gets behind the bath. Split or lifting sealant is a sign it’s time.
Why it’s worth resealing in Clare Market
Resealing is routine maintenance. Leaving split or mouldy sealant lets water get behind the bath or tray, which costs far more to put right. There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Advice
Clare Market: your questions answered
Can you reseal over the old silicone?
Never over old. The old sealant is cut out and the joint cleaned and dried.
Can you repair something that’s been repaired before?
Most of the time. Let us know what was used before and we will plan for it.
How quickly can you book me in?
We’ll give you dates with your quote. If it’s urgent, say so and we will do what we can.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include photos of each item.
Will there be a smell?
A little, depending on the job. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum, and it soon fades.
Will the price change on the day?
We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.
Are you accredited?
Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.
How long does resealing take?
Generally a couple of hours, then it needs to cure.

- Gaps too big for silicone alone
- Water damage behind the bath that needs a builder
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.

How we price bath resealing
A fixed quote means you know the cost before booking. We take into account:
- How easy the damage is to reach
- What the surface is made of
- How hard the colour is to match
- The size and number of damaged areas
We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for Clare Market. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
How to get a fixed price
It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Try to send:
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- A photo taken from further back
- Details of any past repairs
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of photos using our quote form or ring us. We’ll say straight away if a repair is the right fix.
