Need bath resealing in Crawley?

Looking after it afterwards

Good habits make a big difference to how long a repair lasts. Here’s what we suggest:

  • Dry the seal after bathing
  • Use the extractor fan
  • Do not stand toiletries on the seal
  • Clean the joints with a mild cleaner

Keep the room well ventilated, and wipe the joints after use to keep mould away.

Reseal before water gets in. Gaps or lifting edges mean it needs doing.

Bath resealing at your home in Crawley

Resealing is quick, but it transforms the look. Fresh joints make the whole room look cleaner, and they protect the walls and floor. Typical jobs include water getting behind the bath or tray and sealant that’s split or lifting, on baths, basins & vanity units and kitchen worktops & sinks.

You’re covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we’ll explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

The process

On the day, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. The job normally takes around two hours. We clean up when we’re done and tell you when it’s ready to use.

  1. The surrounding area is protected and the joints masked.
  2. Old sealant and residue are removed.
  3. We clean, treat and dry the joint.
  4. We run a continuous bead of new silicone.
  5. The bead is smoothed, the tape removed and the seal left to cure.

Before we arrive

  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit

For landlords and businesses

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in Hampshire and across the UK. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.

Is resealing worth it?

Compared with repairing water damage, resealing is cheap. It’s a quick job that protects your walls and floors. No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

What you get with us

  • No need to remove anything
  • We leave the room as we found it
  • No extra charge for your area
  • Normally one visit, start to finish

See our pricing.

What bath resealing costs

There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price depends on:

  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • The type of damage
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • What the surface is made of

Our prices are the same across the UK, so there’s no premium for Crawley. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

How to get a fixed quote

Photographing the damage takes a minute. Please include:

  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • The material, if you know it

A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath or shower, include your postcode and send them over. You will get a fixed price, not an estimate.

When we would advise against a repair

Some jobs aren’t right for a repair, for example:

  • Hidden water damage
  • Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
  • A flexing bath

Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.

What we work on

  • Kitchen worktops & sinks
  • Shower trays & enclosures
  • Baths
  • Basins & vanity units
  • Wet rooms

FAQs for Crawley

What happens after I send photos?

We look at the pictures and reply with a fixed quote and some dates. If we need another angle, we will ask.

Why does mould come back so fast?

Usually poor ventilation and moisture sitting on the joint. Mould-resistant silicone and good ventilation help.

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes: twelve months. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Generally, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it is not worth repairing, we’ll tell you.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Yes, regularly. Removing the old work can add time, and that’s in the quote.

Can landlords book you?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as homeowners across Hampshire.

My seal keeps tearing. Why?

Normally because the bath or tray moves. We seal baths full of water.

What happens if you find more damage?

If we find something the pictures didn’t show, we explain it first. The price only changes if you agree.

What we are called out for in Crawley

No sealant lasts for ever. Each shower leaves moisture and soap behind, which mould loves, and the joint moves slightly every time the bath is filled.

The most common problems we’re called about are:

  • Sealant that is split or lifting
  • Old sealant that looks dirty
  • Unsealed corners
  • Black spots in the silicone

What your quote should include

  • What happens if the damage is worse than the pictures show
  • How your room will be protected
  • How soon you can use it again
  • Whether they match the colour on site
