How we handle bath resealing in Denham
Baths are resealed with water in them, so the joint opens fully, so the seal doesn’t tear when the bath is first used. Whether it’s discoloured, yellow sealant and silicone coming away from the tiles, we can help, on basins & vanity units, kitchen worktops & sinks and wet rooms alike.
All our work is covered by a one-year guarantee.

Keeping it looking good
A little care keeps the finish looking good. Our advice:
- Replace the seal when mould sets in
- Clean the joints with a mild cleaner
- Keep bottles off the joints
- Run the extractor fan during and after showers
Let it cure fully before using the bath or shower, normally about a day.
Do not wait until water gets behind the bath. Gaps or lifting edges mean it needs doing.
DIY kit or professional repair?
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is usually the cheaper route.
A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
Why reseal now?
Resealing costs very little. Failed sealant can lead to water damage that is much more expensive. The price depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed price from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.

When we would advise against a repair
Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair will not do:
- Gaps so wide they need filling or trims before sealing
- Rotten walls or floors behind the bath
- Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.
Surfaces we repair
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
- Baths
- Wet rooms
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Basins & vanity units
How we price bath resealing
There’s no area surcharge for Denham. What changes the price is:
- The size and number of damaged areas
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- The material and finish
- How hard the colour is to match
Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.
Getting a price from photos
You can take the pictures on your phone, there’s no need for anything special. Ensure they show:
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- A wider photo showing the entire bath or shower
- Natural light rather than flash
Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can give you a fixed quote.
What your bath or shower is made of matters
Sinks and worktops
Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, with the joint fully dried first.
Shower trays
Trays are sealed with weight on them, for the same reason.
