Bath resealing in Elton, done in place
Resealing is one of the simplest ways to protect your bathroom. Failed sealant lets water get where it shouldn’t, and a new seal stops it. We work on shower trays & enclosures, kitchen worktops & sinks and wet rooms, and the jobs we see most are gaps in the seal and unsealed corners.
All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months in Elton and everywhere else. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

Is resealing worth it?
Resealing costs very little. Leaving failed sealant can let water cause damage that costs far more to fix. We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for Elton. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

What we’re called out for in Elton
Sealant splits when the bath or tray moves, often because it was sealed with the bath empty.
These are the problems we’re asked about most:
- Black spots in the silicone
- Old sealant that looks dirty
- An untidy old seal
- Gaps by the taps
Before booking anyone
- How soon you can use it again
- Who turns up on the day
- Whether they match the colour on site
- How your room will be protected
How to care for the repair
Looking after the surface is easy, and it makes a real difference:
- Replace the seal when mould sets in
- Air the room after use
- Clean the joints with a mild cleaner
- Do not stand toiletries on the seal
Avoid scraping the joints, and keep shampoo bottles off the joints.
Mouldy sealant is more than a cosmetic problem; it shows moisture is getting in. An early reseal keeps water where it belongs.
What we do, step by step
We work cleanly and quietly, so you can carry on at home. We protect the area first, then the work takes a couple of hours. Before we leave, we explain the curing time and the aftercare.
- We protect the area and mask the joint lines.
- We remove the old sealant and every trace of residue.
- We clean, treat and dry the joint.
- Fresh silicone is applied in a continuous bead.
- We smooth the bead, remove the tape and leave it to cure.
Getting ready for the visit
- Point us to the nearest place to park
- Clear the area around the damage
- Ensure the room can be ventilated
Ask for a price

Advice
Can I fix it myself?
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
