Trusted bath resealing in Esgyryn

Bath resealing in Esgyryn, done in place

A proper reseal starts with removing every trace of the old silicone. New silicone will not bond to old, which is why many DIY jobs peel. Typical jobs include gaps in the seal and damp near the bath, across wet rooms, shower trays & enclosures and kitchen worktops & sinks.

Every repair is covered by a one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Conwy.

Resealing in Esgyryn: why it matters

Resealing is routine maintenance. Leaving split or mouldy sealant lets water get behind the bath or tray, which costs far more to put right. There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

FAQs for Esgyryn

Is a repair better than a new one?

Generally, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.

Is it messy?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we leave the room clean.

Why does my sealant keep splitting?

Movement is the usual cause, or it was sealed with the bath empty. We fill the bath before sealing it.

Is my repair covered?

Yes: twelve months. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Yes. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

In most cases. The old repair comes out first.

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit typically costs less than separate visits. Include photos of each item.

Do you work in Esgyryn?

Yes. We work across the UK and travel to Esgyryn. Send photos and we will quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

What affects the price in Esgyryn

You will know the full cost before booking. We look at:

  • The material and finish
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • The type of damage

The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. You will see the full price before you book, with nothing added on the day.

Getting a price from pictures

Phone photos are fine, there’s no need for anything special. Ensure they show:

  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before

A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath or shower, include your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.

For landlords and businesses

If you manage property in Esgyryn, we’ll quote for several properties at once. Send photos for each one and we will price them together.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

What we can’t put right

A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:

  • Gaps too big for silicone alone
  • Hollow or loose tiles
  • A bath or tray that moves, until its support is fixed

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer.

Surfaces we repair

  • Kitchen worktops & sinks
  • Shower trays & enclosures
  • Basins & vanity units
  • Wet rooms
  • Baths

What your bath or shower is made of matters

Baths

We fill the bath before sealing, to open the joint fully.

Shower trays

We put weight on a tray before sealing it, for the same reason.

The process

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we’ve agreed what we are doing. It typically takes about two hours for a bath, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. We cut out and remove all of the old sealant.
  2. The joint is cleaned and any mould treated.
  3. The joint is dried thoroughly.
  4. Baths are filled with water first, so the joint is at its widest.
  5. We run a new bead of mould-resistant silicone and smooth it neatly, including around the taps.

Before we arrive

  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
  • Keep a parking space free if you can

Aftercare tips

Most damage we see is avoidable. These habits help:

  • Run the extractor fan during and after showers
  • Keep bottles off the joints
  • Reseal when black spots will not clean off
  • Wipe the joints dry after use

Avoid scraping the joints, and don’t stand bottles on the seal.

Reseal before water gets in. Gaps or lifting edges mean it needs doing.
