Bath resealing in Fairlee without replacing anything
Baths are resealed with water in them, so the joint opens fully, so the seal does not tear when the bath is first used. We are often asked to fix silicone coming away from the tiles and black mould in the sealant, on shower trays & enclosures, basins & vanity units and kitchen worktops & sinks.
Big or small, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee in Fairlee and across Isle of Wight.

DIY kit or professional repair?
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

Prices and what affects them
We charge the same across the UK, including Fairlee. The price reflects:
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- The size and number of damaged areas
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- Unusual colours or finishes
Compared with replacing, a repair is normally a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.
Send pictures for a quote
You can typically get a fixed price without us visiting. To make it quick:
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- One picture of the entire bath or shower
- The material, if you know it
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
The quickest way to a price is to send two or three photos using our quote form or call us. We will say immediately if a repair is the right fix.
When to call us in Fairlee
A bathroom without good ventilation is hard on sealant: moisture sits on the joints longer, and mould grows faster.
Typical reasons for a call-out include:
- A messy previous reseal
- Gaps in the seal
- Unsealed corners
- Mould you can’t clean out
Questions to ask before booking
- What the guarantee covers, and for how long
- Whether a trained technician does the job
- How your room will be protected
- What aftercare is recommended
Different materials, different repairs
Sinks and worktops
Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, with the joint fully dried first.
Baths
We fill the bath before sealing, to open the joint fully.
Work for landlords and builders
Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover so nothing needs replacing. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. We can visit several plots in one trip.
Resealing in Fairlee: why it matters
A reseal is one of the cheapest bathroom jobs there is and protects the walls and floor. Failed sealant can lead to water damage that is much more expensive. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed price from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.
Why book with us
- No need to remove anything
- Generally one visit, start to finish
- A fixed quote before you book

How to look after the repair
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Do not stand toiletries on the seal
- Keep the joints dry
- Replace the seal when mould sets in
- Clean the sealant gently and regularly
Keep the room well ventilated, and wipe the joints after use.
Reseal before water gets in. Split or lifting sealant is a sign it’s time.
