Bath resealing in Foxendown

Work for landlords and builders

Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.

About our bath resealing in Foxendown

We reseal baths with them filled with water, so the joint is at its widest, which stops the new seal tearing the first time the bath is used. Typical jobs include unsealed corners and sealant that’s split or lifting, on basins & vanity units, shower trays & enclosures and baths.

We guarantee the work for a year. If there is a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it.

Some jobs are not right for a repair, for example:

How we price bath resealing

You will know the full cost before you book. We look at:

  • How much damage there is
  • The material and finish
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • The type of damage

A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before booking, with no extras added later.

Getting a price from photos

Photographing the damage takes a minute. Please include:

  • Details of any past repairs
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • One picture of the whole bath or shower

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us photos through the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can give you a fixed price the same day in most cases.

The process

On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Let us in and show us the room, and we’ll take it from there. The job generally runs to around two hours, tidy-up included.

  1. All the old sealant is cut out and removed.
  2. We clean the joint and treat any mould.
  3. The joint is dried thoroughly.
  4. We fill a bath with water before sealing so the gap is at its widest.
  5. We apply new mould-resistant silicone and tool it to a neat finish, including around the taps.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Keep a parking space free if you can

Advice

Is resealing worth it?

Resealing is a small job. Leaving split or mouldy sealant lets water get behind the bath or tray, and that damage costs much more to fix. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it.

Why Foxendown customers choose us

10 questions to ask before booking

DIY kit or professional repair?

What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is normally cheaper.
