Bath resealing in Haden Hill, done in place

A reseal is a small job that makes a big difference. Clean, white joints make a bathroom look cared for, and they keep water out. Common call-outs are for an untidy old seal and mould you can’t clean out, on baths, basins & vanity units and kitchen worktops & sinks.

You are covered for a year from the day of the repair. Just call us if there is a problem and we will come back.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is typically cheaper.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.

For landlords and businesses

Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover, so there is no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. Several plots can be done in one visit.

Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We can work around your bookings.

What we do, step by step

Once we’re through the door, we keep the work contained to the one room. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the job takes around two hours, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.

  1. First we strip out every bit of the old mastic.
  2. Next we clean the joint and deal with mould.
  3. We ensure the joint is completely dry.
  4. For a bath, we fill it with water first so the joint is at its widest.
  5. New mould-resistant silicone goes on and is tooled to a neat finish, including around the taps.

How to prepare

  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work

How to get a price

Upload photos of the damage and one of the entire item, with your B64 postcode, and we will come back with a fixed quote.

Prices and what affects them

We charge the same across the UK, including Haden Hill. The price reflects:

  • Where the damage is and how we get to it

  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • How hard the colour is to match

The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. You’ll see the full price before booking, with no extras added later.

Quotes from your pictures

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:

  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • The material, if you know it
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare

What we are called out for in Haden Hill

Black mould is the most common reason people reseal. It grows into the sealant itself, so cleaning can’t get it all out.

Look out for these signs:

  • Leaks at the edges
  • Silicone coming away from the tiles
  • Gaps by the taps
  • A messy previous reseal

Resealing in Haden Hill: why it matters

Resealing is routine maintenance. Putting off a reseal can let water reach the walls and floor, and that damage costs much more to fix. Set against the cost of replacement, repairing generally costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.
