Bath resealing in Hill without replacing anything
We reseal baths, shower trays, basins and worktops, with mould-resistant sanitary silicone. A typical reseal takes a couple of hours, then it needs to cure. Whether it’s stained silicone and black mould in the sealant, we can normally put it right, on baths, kitchen worktops & sinks and wet rooms alike.
You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. Just call us if there’s a problem and we will come back.

What bath resealing costs
There’s no charge for travel to Hill. The price depends on:
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- How easy the damage is to reach
- How many items we do on one visit
- Unusual colours or finishes
No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
How to get a fixed price
You can take the pictures on your phone, there’s no need for anything special. Make sure they show:
- Natural light rather than flash
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- One sharp close-up of the damage
Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them over with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed price back. There is no charge for the quote and no obligation.
Signs you need bath resealing in Hill
A bathroom without good ventilation is hard on sealant: damp hangs around, and mould takes hold.

Can I fix it myself?
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair won’t last.
Materials and what they mean for the repair
Baths
Baths are resealed with water in them, so the joint is at its widest.
Shower trays
We put weight on a tray before sealing it, for the same reason.

How the visit works
Here’s how a visit generally runs: we arrive at the agreed slot, protect everything around the work area, carry out the work and tidy away. Allow a couple of hours from start to finish. Before we go, we will explain when it can be used and how to look after it.
- We cut out and remove all of the old sealant.
- Next we clean the joint and deal with mould.
- We dry the joint thoroughly.
- Baths are filled with water first, so the joint is at its widest.
- We apply new mould-resistant silicone and tool it to a neat finish, including around the taps.
How to prepare
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible

Advice
Looking after it afterwards
It’s all simple stuff:
- Do not stand toiletries on the seal
- Keep the joints dry
- Clean the joints with a mild cleaner
- Reseal when black spots will not clean off
Avoid scraping the joints, and keep shampoo bottles off the joints.
Do not wait until water gets behind the bath. Split or lifting sealant is a sign it’s time.
