Lee Bank questions
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit. The rest of the house is unaffected.
Is repairing better than replacing?
Typically, when the rest is in good condition. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.
How long will it take?
Most reseals take about two hours. Leave it to cure before use.
What happens after I send pictures?
We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote.
Which areas do you work in?
The entire UK, including all of Birmingham. Just include your postcode and we will offer you dates.
Is there a call-out fee?
No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
Yes. We carry out repairs for householders, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses across Birmingham.
Can I get a quote without a visit?
In nearly every case. If pictures don’t show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.
Bath resealing in Lee Bank, done in place
We cut out all of the old sealant, deal with any mould, and apply fresh mould-resistant silicone. We do this for baths, showers, sinks and worktops, including the awkward bits behind the taps. Common call-outs are for black mould in the sealant and leaks at the edges, across basins & vanity units, wet rooms and kitchen worktops & sinks.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you’re not left on your own once we have gone.

When to call us in Lee Bank
Joints split if the bath or tray moves, frequently because it was sealed with the bath empty.
The most common problems we’re called about are:
- Black mould in the sealant
- An untidy old seal
- Water getting behind the bath or tray
- Gaps by the taps
Comparing quotes
- What the guarantee covers, and for how long
- What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show
- Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
- Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
Why reseal now?
Resealing is routine maintenance. Leaving split or mouldy sealant lets water get behind the bath or tray, which costs far more to put right. No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

DIY kit or professional repair?
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.
Keeping it looking good
How the surface is treated afterwards matters:
- Give the seal a regular clean
- Keep bottles off the joints
- Reseal when black spots won’t clean off
- Run the extractor fan during and after showers
Avoid scraping the joints, and don’t stand bottles on the seal.
Reseal before water gets in. Gaps or lifting edges mean it needs doing.
