How we handle bath resealing in Llynclys
A good reseal is all about preparation: every bit of old silicone out, mould treated, the joint clean and dry. Only then does the new sealant go on, as one neat, continuous bead. We regularly repair baths, basins & vanity units and wet rooms, and common reasons people contact us are damp near the bath and silicone smeared on tiles.
Every job is backed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. We return to put right any problem with the work.

Looking after it afterwards
It’s all simple stuff:
- Ventilate the bathroom well
- Keep the joints dry
- Keep bottles off the joints
- Reseal at the first sign of lifting
Run the extractor fan, wipe the joints dry after use, and give them a regular clean with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.
Reseal before water gets in. Split or lifting sealant is a sign it’s time.
Honest limits
Not everything can be repaired, and we would rather say so up front. We cannot fix:
- Gaps too big for silicone alone
- Loose tiles, which need refixing first
- A flexing bath
If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think before you book.
Materials we repair
- Baths
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Basins & vanity units
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
- Wet rooms
What we do, step by step
Your technician turns up at the time we agreed with you and checks the damage against your pictures first. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. Most visits take about two hours for a bath, and we leave the room as we found it.
- The old silicone is cut out completely.
- Residue is removed and the joint cleaned.
- We treat mould and dry the joint thoroughly.
- We fill the bath, or weight the tray, to open the joint.
- We apply fresh mould-resistant silicone and tool a neat bead.
Getting ready for the visit
- Make sure the room can be ventilated
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
- Let us know about parking or access

Common questions in Llynclys
Can landlords book you?
We do, regularly. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
Most of the time. Tell us what was done before.
Can you price it without visiting?
Nearly always. If pictures do not show enough, we will ask for another angle.
Can you repair several things at once?
Of course, and it typically saves money. Send pictures of everything together and we will quote them together.
Do the materials smell?
A little, depending on the job. Open windows and an extractor fan help.
What areas do you cover?
Everywhere in the UK, Llynclys included. Travel is included in the price.
How long does a reseal take?
A bath or shower generally takes a couple of hours. It then needs time to cure.
Will it make a mess?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.

Do you need bath resealing in Llynclys?
Even good sealant eventually discolours. Steam, soap and movement all take their toll.
Send us a picture if you notice any of these:
- Mould you can’t clean out
- Sealant that is split or lifting
- A messy previous reseal
- Water getting behind the bath or tray
What to look for in a quote
- Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
- How long it needs to cure
- What protection goes down before work starts
- Whether they match the colour on site
Why reseal now?
Resealing costs very little, and it protects everything around the bath. Failed sealant can lead to water damage that is much more expensive. The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. The full price is agreed before you book, with no extras added later.

What bath resealing costs
You won’t pay by the hour. The price depends on:
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- Doing more than one item at once
- What the surface is made of
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send photos and we’ll give you the exact figure.
