Bath & shower resealing (mastic) in Muscliff, Bournemouth
Bath, shower and sink resealing with new mould-resistant silicone in Muscliff, carried out at your home and guaranteed for a year.
- Missing sealant behind the taps
- Black mould in the sealant
- Silicone coming away from the tiles

Bath resealing in Muscliff, done in place
Preparation is everything in a reseal: old silicone removed, mould treated, the joint cleaned and dried. Only then does the new sealant go on, in a neat, continuous bead. We work on baths, wet rooms and shower trays & enclosures, and the jobs we see most are a messy previous reseal and black spots in the silicone.
Whatever the size of the job, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee.

What your bath or shower is made of matters
Shower trays
We put weight on a tray before sealing it, so the joint is at its widest.
Sinks and worktops
Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, once the joint is completely dry.
What we cannot put right
Before you book, it’s worth knowing the limits too:
- Movement in the bath or tray
- Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
- Very wide gaps that need a trim
If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think before you book.

Why it’s worth resealing in Muscliff
Resealing costs very little and protects the walls and floor. Leaving failed sealant can let water cause damage that costs far more to fix. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. You’ll see the full price before you book, with nothing added on the day.
Why us?
- Dust sheets down, tidy finish
- Work done at your home or business

Questions from Muscliff
Are you a vetted contractor?
Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.
Do you work in Muscliff?
We do. We send a technician to Muscliff for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.
Can new silicone go over old?
All the old sealant comes out. Fresh silicone does not stick to old.
Will it make a mess?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.
Why does the silicone keep cracking?
Something is moving. Persistent splitting can mean the support needs attention.
How long before I can shower?
We’ll give you the curing time.
When can you do it?
Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we will do what we can.
How long does a reseal take?
A bath or shower typically takes a couple of hours. Leave it to cure before use.
How it works
You do not need to empty the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and start once you’re happy with the plan. It typically takes a couple of hours, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- The old silicone is cut out completely.
- Residue is removed and the joint cleaned.
- Any mould is treated and the joint dried.
- We fill the bath, or weight the tray, to open the joint.
- New mould-resistant silicone is applied and tooled neatly.
Preparing for the visit
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
- Open a window if you can
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
Getting a price
For most jobs, pictures are all we need to give you a price. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.

Prices and what affects them
You’ll know the full cost before you book. We look at:
- What the surface is made of
- Doing more than one item at once
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- The type of damage
There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
Getting a price from photos
Phone pictures are fine. Just ensure we can see:
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- The material, if you know it
You don’t need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote.

How to look after the repair
How the surface is treated afterwards matters. Here’s what we suggest:
- Don’t stand toiletries on the seal
- Reseal at the first sign of lifting
- Let steam out after showers
- Keep the joints dry
Let it cure fully before using the bath or shower, normally about a day.
Black mould in sealant is not just unsightly; it shows moisture is getting in. Resealing early keeps water out of the walls and floor.
