About our bath resealing in New Zealand
We reseal baths with them filled with water, so the joint opens fully, so the seal does not tear when the bath is first used. We’re frequently asked to fix water getting behind the bath or tray and black spots in the silicone, across baths, basins & vanity units and wet rooms.
We guarantee the work for a year. If there’s a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it.

Aftercare tips
Most damage we see is avoidable. A few tips:
- Clean the joints with a mild cleaner
- Let steam out after showers
- Do not stand toiletries on the seal
- Wipe the joints dry after use
Good ventilation is the best protection, and wipe the joints after use so mould struggles to take hold.
Damp below or loose tiles need checking quickly. It may be more than a reseal, and we’ll say if you need a builder or plumber.
Resealing in New Zealand: why it matters
A reseal is one of the cheapest bathroom jobs there is and protects the walls and floor. Failed sealant can lead to water damage that is much more expensive. No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

How it works
It’s a tidy, low-fuss visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, protect the area, then carry out the work, which normally takes about two hours for a bath. If anything looks different from your photos, we’ll talk to you before going ahead.
- We protect the area and mask the joint lines.
- Old sealant and residue are removed.
- We clean, treat and dry the joint.
- Fresh silicone is applied in a continuous bead.
- The bead is smoothed, the tape removed and the seal left to cure.
Before we arrive
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Keep a parking space free if you can

Should I try a DIY kit first?
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.
Work for landlords and builders
Letting agents frequently send us photos straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.
We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Send the address, photos and access details.
