What affects the price in Newton Village
There’s no charge for travel to Newton Village. The price depends on:
- The size and number of damaged areas
- Doing more than one item at once
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
Our prices are the same across the UK, so there’s no premium for Newton Village. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Different materials, different repairs
Sinks and worktops
Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, once the joint is completely dry.
Shower trays
We put weight on a tray before sealing it, so the joint is at its widest.
Resealing in Newton Village: why it matters
Putting new silicone over old does not last. It peels within weeks, and traps mould underneath. A proper reseal removes the old first. The price depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your pictures, so you know the cost before you book.

What we are called out for in Newton Village
Black mould is the most common reason people reseal. It grows into the sealant itself, so cleaning only removes the surface.
Send us a photo if you notice any of these:

- Gaps in the seal
- Mould you cannot clean out

How it works
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and get going once we have agreed what we are doing. It usually takes about two hours for a bath, and you’re welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- The surrounding area is protected and the joints masked.
- We remove the old sealant and every trace of residue.
- The joint is cleaned, treated and dried.
- Fresh silicone is applied in a continuous bead.
- The bead is smoothed, the tape removed and the seal left to cure.
Before we arrive
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
- Clear the area around the damage

How to look after the repair
A little care keeps the finish looking good. We recommend:
- Dry the seal after bathing
- Give the seal a regular clean
- Air the room after use
- Ventilate the bathroom well
Run the extractor fan, wipe the joints dry after use, and clean them regularly with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.
If you notice damp, stains on the ceiling below or loose tiles, act quickly. There may be more going on, so we will tell you if it needs a builder or plumber.
What a repair cannot fix
Not everything can be repaired, and we would rather say so up front. Repairs will not solve:
- Movement in the bath or tray
- Water damage behind the bath that needs a builder
- Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly.
