Work for landlords and builders
Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.
Hospitality businesses can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We can work around your bookings.
Bath resealing at your home in Packwood Gullet
A proper reseal starts with removing every trace of the old silicone. New silicone won’t bond to old, which is why many DIY jobs peel. If you’re dealing with a messy previous reseal and gaps in the seal, we can help.
Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do.

Materials and what they mean for the repair
Shower trays
Trays are sealed with weight on them, for the same reason.
Sinks and worktops
Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, with the joint fully dried first.
Is resealing worth it?
Resealing is a small job. Putting off a reseal can let water reach the walls and floor, which costs far more to put right. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you’ll get a fixed figure.
Why us?
- We leave the room as we found it
- Usually one visit, start to finish

Should I try a DIY kit first?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is usually the cheaper route.

Your questions about bath resealing in Packwood Gullet
Do you seal over the old sealant?
We always remove the old sealant completely. New silicone won’t bond to old.
Do you come to Packwood Gullet?
Yes. We cover the entire UK and come to Packwood Gullet. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Can you price it without visiting?
In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures can’t show what we need.
Can pets and children be at home?
Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit. Everywhere else in the home is fine.
Is it messy?
We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and tidy up before we leave.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it isn’t worth repairing, we will tell you.
Do you do work for letting agents?
Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as householders in Packwood Gullet.
What happens once I’ve sent photos?
We review the photos and send a fixed quote.
Looking after it afterwards
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Replace the seal when mould sets in
- Open a window after bathing
- Store bottles on a shelf
- Clean the sealant gently and regularly
Leave the sealant to cure for the time we give you, generally around 24 hours.
Reseal before water gets in. Gaps or lifting edges mean it needs doing.

How the visit works
Here’s how a visit normally runs: we arrive on time, sheet and mask the area around the job, do the job and tidy away. Allow about two hours for a bath from start to finish. Before we go, we will explain how long to leave it and how to care for it.
- The surrounding area is protected and the joints masked.
- Old sealant and residue are removed.
- We clean, treat and dry the joint.
- Fresh silicone is applied in a continuous bead.
- The bead is smoothed, the tape removed and the seal left to cure.
How to prepare
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
- Open a window if you can
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing

Prices and what affects them
There is no area surcharge for Packwood Gullet. The price reflects:
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- Unusual colours or finishes
- Whether we combine several jobs
Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
