Bath resealing at your home in Quick
A proper reseal starts with removing every trace of the old silicone. Fresh sealant doesn’t stick to old, which is why many DIY jobs peel. Whether it’s damp near the bath and silicone smeared on tiles, we can generally put it right, whatever the material.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. Just call us if there’s a problem and we’ll come back.

Common questions in Quick
Is a repair better than a new one?
In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We will be honest if it’s not worth it.
What happens next?
We come back with a fixed price. You’re under no obligation.
Will it make a mess?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we’ve finished.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes: twelve months. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.
Can you repair several things at once?
Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Just add the extra items to your pictures and we will quote them together.
Which areas do you work in?
We work UK-wide. Prices do not change with location.
Can you repair something that is been repaired before?
Usually, yes. The old repair comes out first.
Can you price it without visiting?
Nearly always. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures cannot show what we need.

Prices and what affects them
We price every job individually. The main factors are:
- How much damage there is
- The material and finish
- The type of damage
- Unusual colours or finishes
A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.
Getting a price from photos
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:
- A wider photo showing the whole bath or shower
- What it’s made of, if you know
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Details of any past repairs
We price from pictures so you don’t have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and you’ll get a fixed figure back.
For landlords and businesses
We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.
For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. Several plots can be done in one visit.
Looking after it afterwards
So the finish stays in good condition:
- Air the room after use
- Ventilate the bathroom well
- Keep the joints dry
- Replace the seal when mould sets in
Do not scrape the sealant with anything sharp, and keep shampoo bottles off the joints.
Damp below or loose tiles need checking quickly. There may be more going on, so we will tell you if it needs a builder or plumber.
How the visit works
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. We bring everything we need with us, put protection down and get going once we have agreed what we’re doing. It generally takes about two hours for a bath, and you’re welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- We protect the area and mask the joint lines.
- We remove the old sealant and every trace of residue.
- We clean, treat and dry the joint.
- Fresh silicone is applied in a continuous bead.
- We smooth the bead, remove the tape and leave it to cure.
How to prepare
- Clear the area around the damage
- Make sure the room can be ventilated
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day

DIY kit or professional repair?
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair will not last.

Resealing costs very little and protects the walls and floor. Leaving failed sealant can let water cause damage that costs far more to fix. Compared with replacing, repairing normally costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.
