How we handle bath resealing in Riseley

Resealing is one of the simplest ways to protect your bathroom. Failed sealant lets water get where it shouldn’t, and a new seal stops it. We work on shower trays & enclosures, wet rooms and basins & vanity units, and common reasons people contact us are gaps by the taps and gaps in the seal.

We guarantee the work for a year. If something isn’t right in that time, we come back and put it right.

What affects the price in Riseley

We don’t charge extra for travel to Riseley. The price comes down to:

  • What kind of damage it is
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • What the surface is made of

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send photos and you will get a fixed figure.

Quotes from your photos

Phone pictures are fine, there’s no need for anything special. Make sure they show:

  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • The material, if you know it
  • One picture of the entire bath or shower

The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of pictures using our quote form or ring us. We’ll tell you honestly if a repair is the right fix.

Riseley questions

Which areas do you work in?

Across the UK. Prices do not change with location.

Can you price it without visiting?

Nearly always. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures can’t show what we need.

What do you need from me?

Send photos through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787.

Do you hold any accreditations?

We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.

How long will it take?

A bath or shower usually takes a couple of hours. It then needs time to cure.

Will you leave a mess?

No. The work area is masked and covered, and we leave the room clean.

Do you come to Riseley?

Yes. We work across the UK and travel to Riseley and the rest of Bedford Borough. Send photos and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Is the work guaranteed?

All our work carries our one-year guarantee. We’ll explain what it covers when we quote.

DIY kit or professional repair?

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Riseley

For anyone letting property in or around Riseley, we will quote for several properties at once. Send photos for each one and we’ll come back with a combined price.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

Why reseal now?

Compared with repairing water damage, resealing is cheap. It’s a quick job that protects your walls and floors. The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. The full price is agreed before booking, with no extras added later.

Why us?

  • One price list for the entire UK
  • Repair technicians who travel to you, UK-wide

How the visit works

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and start once you’re happy with the plan. It normally takes around two hours, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. We cut out all of the old sealant.
  2. Residue is removed and the joint cleaned.
  3. We treat mould and dry the joint thoroughly.
  4. We fill the bath, or weight the tray, to open the joint.
  5. New mould-resistant silicone is applied and tooled neatly.

Before we arrive

  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

How to get a price

If you are in Riseley and want a price, the easiest route is photos: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.

Advice

How to look after the repair

How the surface is treated afterwards matters:

  • Give the seal a regular clean
  • Run the extractor fan during and after showers
  • Let steam out after showers
  • Keep the joints dry

Don’t scrape the sealant with anything sharp, and don’t stand bottles on the seal.

If you notice damp, stains on the ceiling below or loose tiles, act quickly. There may be more going on, and we’ll say if you need a builder or plumber.

What we cannot put right

Before booking, it’s worth knowing the limits:

  • Movement in the bath or tray
  • Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
  • Very wide gaps that need a trim

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer before booking.

What we work on

  • Shower trays & enclosures
  • Wet rooms
  • Basins & vanity units
  • Baths
  • Kitchen worktops & sinks

Do you need bath resealing in Riseley?

No sealant lasts for ever. Each shower leaves moisture and soap behind, which mould feeds on, and the joint flexes each time the bath fills.

You may need us if you’ve spotted:

  • Mould you cannot clean out
  • Gaps by the taps
  • Stained silicone
  • Water getting behind the bath or tray

What to look for in a quote

  • How to look after the finish
  • What preparation is included
  • Who will actually do the work
  • Whether the colour is mixed to match
