Bath resealing near Shelley

Work for landlords and builders

Hospitality businesses need rooms back in use quickly, so we keep visits short and tidy. We can work around your bookings.

If you manage property in Shelley, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Send photos for each one and we’ll come back with a combined price.

About our bath resealing in Shelley

Resealing is one of the simplest ways to protect your bathroom. Old, split or mouldy sealant lets water get behind the bath or tray, and a new seal stops it. We’re frequently asked to fix damp near the bath and unsealed corners, on shower trays & enclosures, wet rooms and kitchen worktops & sinks.

Peace of mind is built in: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

Is resealing worth it?

Compared with repairing water damage, resealing is cheap. It’s quick, tidy and protects your home. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before booking.

What you get with us

How we price bath resealing

Every quote is fixed and free. What we take into account:

  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • Unusual colours or finishes

Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

How to get a fixed price

You can take the pictures on your phone. Just ensure we can see:

  • A photo taken from further back
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • The material, if you know it
  • Where you are, by postcode

There is no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote.

Can I fix it myself?

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is generally the cheaper route.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

Shelley questions

How do I get a price for bath resealing in Shelley?

We give a fixed quote based on pictures of the damage. Send a close-up and a photo of the entire item and your postcode.

Will it make a mess?

No. The work area is masked and covered, and we leave the room clean.

Can pets and children be at home?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, so the repair isn’t disturbed while it cures.

How long will it take?

Typically a couple of hours, then it needs to cure.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Landlords are often glad to have it sorted.

What if the damage is worse than the photos show?

Your quote covers the damage in the photos. If there’s more, we’ll tell you before starting.

What happens once I’ve sent photos?

We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote with dates.

Do you come to Shelley?

Yes. We cover the whole UK and travel to Shelley and the rest of Kirklees. Send photos and we will quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

How the visit works

Visits start with a quick look at the job together, so there are no surprises. After that, protection goes down around the work area and we start. It normally takes around two hours.

  1. The surrounding area is protected and the joints masked.
  2. Old sealant and residue are removed.
  3. We clean, treat and dry the joint.
  4. We run a continuous bead of new silicone.
  5. The bead is smoothed, the tape removed and the seal left to cure.

How to prepare

  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings

Getting a price

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath or shower, include your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

Honest limits

To be straight with you, there are a few things a repair will not fix:

  • A bath or tray that moves, until its support is fixed
  • Loose tiles, which need refixing first
  • Gaps too big for silicone alone

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.

Materials we repair

  • Shower trays & enclosures
  • Basins & vanity units
  • Wet rooms
  • Kitchen worktops & sinks
  • Baths

Aftercare tips

Good habits make a big difference to how long a repair lasts. Here’s what we suggest:

  • Keep bottles off the joints
  • Dry the seal after bathing
  • Air the room after use
  • Give the seal a regular clean

Run the extractor fan, dry the joints after bathing, and clean them regularly with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.

If you notice damp, stains on the ceiling below or loose tiles, act quickly. It may be more than a reseal, and we’ll say if you need a builder or plumber.
