Bath resealing in South Stour, done in place
Baths are resealed with water in them, so the joint is at its widest, so the seal doesn’t tear when the bath is first used. If you’re dealing with unsealed corners and mould you can’t clean out, we can normally put it right, on wet rooms, kitchen worktops & sinks and basins & vanity units alike.
A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover.

Repairs by material
Baths
Baths are resealed with water in them, to open the joint fully.
Sinks and worktops
We reseal basins, vanity tops and kitchen worktops, with the joint fully dried first.
Why reseal now?
A reseal is one of the cheapest bathroom jobs there is and protects the walls and floor. Leaving failed sealant can let water cause damage that costs far more to fix. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Send photos and we’ll give you the exact figure.

How the visit works
A typical visit goes like this: we arrive on time, protect everything around the work area, carry out the work and clear up. Allow a couple of hours from start to finish. Before we go, we’ll explain when it can be used and what to avoid for the first few days.
- First we strip out every bit of the old mastic.
- The joint is cleaned and any mould treated.
- We make sure the joint is completely dry.
- Baths are filled with water first, so the joint is at its widest.
- We run a new bead of mould-resistant silicone and smooth it neatly, including around the taps.
Getting ready for the visit
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access

Can I fix it myself?
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.
Looking after it afterwards
So the finish stays in good condition for years:
- Do not stand toiletries on the seal
- Give the seal a regular clean
- Reseal at the first sign of lifting
- Let steam out after showers
Don’t scrape the sealant with anything sharp, and do not stand bottles on the seal.
Mouldy sealant is more than a cosmetic problem; it shows moisture is getting in. An early reseal keeps water where it belongs.
Your questions about bath resealing in South Stour
Are there extra charges for South Stour?
No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.
Can I get a quote without a visit?
In nearly every case. If photos do not show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.
How long does a reseal take?
Normally a couple of hours, plus curing time.
Will you leave a mess?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we have finished.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Send photos of everything you’d like done.
What happens once I’ve sent photos?
We come back with a fixed quote, plus dates. There is no obligation to book.
Will the price change on the day?
If we find something the photos didn’t show, we explain it first. You decide whether to go ahead.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
Generally, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it isn’t worth repairing, we’ll tell you.
For landlords and businesses
Hospitality businesses need rooms back in use quickly, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We will fit around changeovers where we can.
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
What we cannot put right
A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:
- Rotten walls or floors behind the bath
- Very wide gaps that need a trim
- A flexing bath
Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer before you book.
What we work on
- Baths
- Wet rooms
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
- Basins & vanity units
What bath resealing costs
Prices are worked out job by job. What matters most is:
- What kind of damage it is
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- What the surface is made of
- The size and number of damaged areas
Our prices are the same across the UK, so there’s no premium for South Stour. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
Getting a price from pictures
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- Any details about the material
- One picture of the whole bath or shower
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
Email us pictures of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, with your TN25 postcode, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.
