Bath & shower resealing (mastic) in Southend, Greater London
We travel to Southend for bath, shower and sink resealing with new mould-resistant silicone. Everything is done in place, with a one-year guarantee.
- Old sealant that looks dirty
- Mould you cannot clean out
- Missing sealant behind the taps

How we price bath resealing
You’ll know the full cost before booking. We take into account:
- How much damage there is
- The colour and finish to match
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- How many items we do on one visit
We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Southend. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
Quotes from your pictures
You can take the photos on your phone. Ensure they show:
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- A wider photo showing the whole bath or shower
You do not need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.
Bath resealing at your home in Southend
We cut out all of the old sealant, deal with any mould, and reseal with new mould-resistant silicone. We reseal baths, showers, sinks and worktops, and that includes the awkward spots behind the taps. We work on baths, wet rooms and basins & vanity units, and common reasons people contact us are black mould in the sealant and old sealant that looks dirty.
The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If there’s a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it.

How the visit works
The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can stay at home while we are there. Protection goes down first, then the job itself takes a couple of hours. Before we leave, we explain how soon it can be used and how to care for it.
- We cut out and remove all of the old sealant.
- We clean the joint and treat any mould.
- We make sure the joint is completely dry.
- Baths are filled with water first, so the joint is at its widest.
- We run a new bead of mould-resistant silicone and smooth it neatly, including around the taps.
Before we arrive
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
- Let us know about parking or access
- Make sure the room can be ventilated
Getting a price
Email us a picture of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, with your SE6 postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price.
Related advice
What your bath or shower is made of matters
Sinks and worktops
We reseal basins, vanity tops and kitchen worktops, with the joint fully dried first.
Shower trays
We put weight on a tray before sealing it, so the joint is at its widest.
Work for landlords and builders
We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access and we’ll handle the rest.
Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.
Is resealing worth it?
A reseal is one of the cheapest bathroom jobs there is and protects the walls and floor. Leaving failed sealant can let water cause damage that costs far more to fix. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. You’ll see the full price before you book, with no extras added later.

DIY kit or professional repair?
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.
For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.

Common questions in Southend
Will there be a smell?
Expect a mild smell while we’re working that clears as it cures.
Are there extra charges for Southend?
No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
We are happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Get your landlord’s agreement first.
Do you come to Southend?
Yes. We cover the entire UK and come to Southend. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Why does mould come back so fast?
Normally poor ventilation and moisture sitting on the joint. Mould-resistant silicone and good ventilation help.
What if the damage is worse than the photos show?
It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. You decide whether to go ahead.
Can you repair something that is been repaired before?
In most cases. The old repair comes out first, so mention it when you send pictures.
Do I have to be there?
Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time we agree with you.
