Trusted bath resealing in Stamford Bridge

Bath resealing in Stamford Bridge without replacing anything

A proper reseal starts with removing every trace of the old silicone. Fresh sealant doesn’t stick to old, which is why many DIY jobs peel. Common call-outs are for black mould in the sealant and unsealed corners, across baths, kitchen worktops & sinks and wet rooms.

A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you’re not left on your own once we have gone.

How it works

You don’t need to empty the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and start once you are happy with the plan. It generally takes about two hours for a bath, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. The old silicone is cut out completely.
  2. We remove the residue and clean the joint.
  3. Any mould is treated and the joint dried.
  4. The bath is filled with water, or weight put on the tray.
  5. We apply fresh mould-resistant silicone and tool a neat bead.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Open a window if you can

Questions from Stamford Bridge

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Yes, we frequently do. Removing the old work can add time, and that is in the quote.

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes: twelve months. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

What happens if you find more damage?

The price is fixed for what the pictures show. If there’s more, we will tell you before starting.

Which areas do you work in?

Everywhere in the UK, Stamford Bridge included. Travel is included in the price.

Why does my sealant keep splitting?

Typically because the bath or tray moves. We seal baths full of water.

When can I use the bath after resealing?

Normally about a day later. We’ll tell you the exact time.

Are you accredited?

We’re accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.

Can landlords book you?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as homeowners.

Do you need bath resealing in Stamford Bridge?

No sealant lasts for ever. Each shower leaves moisture and soap behind, which mould loves, and the joint moves slightly every time the bath is filled.

Typical reasons for a call-out include:

  • Damp near the bath
  • Stained silicone
  • Silicone coming away from the tiles
  • Silicone smeared on tiles

How to compare quotes

Prices and what affects them

We charge the same across the UK, including Stamford Bridge. What changes the price is:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • What the surface is made of

Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. It depends on the damage, the material and access.

Quotes from your photos

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:

  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • The material, if you know it
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings

For a price in Stamford Bridge, the easiest route is pictures: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. You’ll get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.

Why reseal now?

A professional reseal costs little compared with water damage. It’s a quick job that protects your walls and floors. A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Why Stamford Bridge customers choose us

Repairs by material

Shower trays

We put weight on a tray before sealing it, for the same reason.

Sinks and worktops

We reseal basins, vanity tops and kitchen worktops, once the joint is completely dry.

Can I fix it myself?

What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair will not last.

Work for landlords and builders

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.

If you manage property in Stamford Bridge, we’ll quote for several properties at once. Just send pictures for each address and we will come back with a combined price.

Honest limits

Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:

  • Gaps so wide they need filling or trims before sealing
  • Hidden water damage
  • A flexing bath

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.
