Need bath resealing in Stockbridge Village?

Bath resealing in Stockbridge Village without replacing anything

Baths are resealed with water in them, so the joint opens fully, which stops the new seal tearing the first time the bath is used. We regularly repair baths, wet rooms and basins & vanity units, and common reasons people contact us are missing sealant behind the taps and silicone smeared on tiles.

A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you’re not left on your own once we’ve gone.

Why reseal now?

A professional reseal costs little compared with water damage. It’s a quick job that protects your walls and floors. There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Why us?

  • No extra charge for your area
  • Work done at your home or business
  • Honest advice, even when it means no job
  • A fixed quote before booking

What we do, step by step

We begin by going over the job with you, so you know exactly what we’re doing. Next, we cover and mask everything nearby and we start. It normally takes around two hours.

  1. All the old sealant is cut out and removed.
  2. The joint is cleaned and any mould treated.
  3. The joint is dried thoroughly.
  4. For a bath, we fill it with water first so the joint is at its widest.
  5. We apply new mould-resistant silicone and tool it to a neat finish, taps included.

Advice

Looking after it afterwards

To keep it looking its best:

  • Give the seal a regular clean
  • Run the extractor fan during and after showers
  • Let steam out after showers
  • Do not stand toiletries on the seal

Avoid scraping the joints, and keep shampoo bottles off the joints.

Don’t wait until water gets behind the bath. Gaps or lifting edges mean it needs doing.

Honest limits

A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:

  • Movement in the bath or tray
  • Hollow or loose tiles
  • Rotten walls or floors behind the bath

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer before booking.

What affects the price in Stockbridge Village

We do not charge extra for travel to Stockbridge Village. The price comes down to:

  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • The material
  • The colour and finish to match
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off

We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for Stockbridge Village. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Getting a price from pictures

Good photos mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings

There is no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.

Materials and what they mean for the repair

Baths

We fill the bath before sealing, so the joint is at its widest.

Sinks and worktops

Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, once the joint is completely dry.

Common questions in Stockbridge Village

How long does silicone take to cure?

You’ll get the curing time from us, normally around a day.

Do you come to Stockbridge Village?

Yes, we do. Repair technicians travel to Stockbridge Village from across the region, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

Is there a guarantee?

Yes, for a year. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

What happens once I’ve sent photos?

We review the pictures and send a fixed quote.

Do you seal over the old sealant?

Never over old. The old sealant is cut out and the joint cleaned and dried.

Will the price change on the day?

If we find something the photos didn’t show, we explain it first. The price only changes if you agree.

Why does my sealant keep going mouldy?

Mould needs moisture. Ventilation and drying keep it clean longer.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes, often. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.

For landlords and businesses

If you manage property in Stockbridge Village, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Send pictures for each one and we’ll come back with a combined price.

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which matters when someone is living in the home.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
