Bath and surface repairs in Liverpool

About bath repair in Liverpool

A repair fixes just the damaged area and blends it into the rest of the bath, which is far cheaper than replacing a fitted bath. Most baths can be used again the next day. We work on pressed steel enamel, roll-top & freestanding and cast iron enamel, and common reasons people get in touch are scratches and burns and cracks and holes in acrylic baths.

Nearly all the chips we see comes from something dropped: a shampoo bottle, a shower head, a tile or a tool during a refit. On steel and cast iron baths, a chip that reaches the metal will start to rust once water gets in. Acrylic baths crack when they flex, usually near the taps or the waste.

When we visit, we arrive at the time we’ve agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. The job usually takes a morning or an afternoon. We clean up when we’re done and tell you when it’s ready to use.

  1. First, the area is cleaned and any loose enamel or rust is removed.
  2. The chip or crack is filled, then sanded level with the bath.
  3. We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
  4. We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
  5. Once it has cured, usually by the next day, the bath is ready to use.

Liverpool: your questions answered

How soon can I use it again?

Usually by the next day, depending on the job. We’ll tell you the curing time before we leave.

Do you work for landlords and businesses in Liverpool?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders, hotels and homeowners.

Should I repair or replace?

Usually, if the item is otherwise sound. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.

What guarantee do I get?

Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee. We’ll explain what it covers when we quote.

Can you fix rust around the plughole?

Yes. We take out the rust and any loose enamel, seal and fill the area, then colour-match the finish.

Can a cracked acrylic bath be fixed?

Often, yes, as long as we can get to the back of the crack to support it. Take off the bath panel and check, or send us a photo.
