Bath & shower resealing (mastic) in Stoke, Suffolk
We travel to Stoke for bath, shower and sink resealing with new mould-resistant silicone. Everything is done in place, and the work is guaranteed.

- Water getting behind the bath or tray
- Black mould in the sealant

About our bath resealing in Stoke
The key to a good reseal is getting all of the old silicone out. New silicone won’t bond to old, which is why many DIY jobs peel. We work on shower trays & enclosures, basins & vanity units and baths, and the jobs we see most are an untidy old seal and missing sealant behind the taps.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. Just call us if there’s a problem and we’ll sort it.

Prices and what affects them
You will not pay by the hour. The price is based on:
- What kind of damage it is
- What the surface is made of
- Unusual colours or finishes
- How much damage there is
Compared with replacing, a repair is generally a fraction of the price, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.
Quotes from your photos
Good photos mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:
- Something in shot to show the size
- Where you are, by postcode
- One picture of the entire bath or shower
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
Upload a picture of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, and tell us you’re in Stoke, and we will reply with a fixed price.

How it works
Once we’re through the door, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. We mask off everything nearby, the job takes about two hours for a bath, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.
- The old silicone is cut out completely.
- We remove the residue and clean the joint.
- We treat mould and dry the joint thoroughly.
- The bath is filled with water, or weight put on the tray.
- New mould-resistant silicone is applied and tooled neatly.
How to prepare
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Let us know about parking or access

Stoke: your questions answered
Can I get a quote without a visit?
Normally, yes. Clear photos let us give you a fixed price without visiting.
What happens once I’ve sent photos?
We review the pictures and send a fixed quote.
Can new silicone go over old?
We always remove the old sealant completely. Fresh silicone doesn’t stick to old.
Are there extra charges for Stoke?
There is no separate call-out charge. Your fixed quote includes everything.
My seal keeps tearing. Why?
Usually because the bath or tray moves, or it was sealed with the bath empty. We seal baths full of water.
Is there a guarantee?
All our work carries our one-year guarantee. We’ll explain what it covers when we quote.
How long does silicone take to cure?
Normally about a day later. We confirm before we leave.
How do I stop mould in sealant?
Mostly moisture and poor ventilation. We use mould-resistant silicone, and ventilation helps it last.
What we cannot put right
Some jobs are not right for a repair, including:
- Loose tiles, which need refixing first
- Gaps too big for silicone alone
- Rotten walls or floors behind the bath
Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before booking.
Materials we repair
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
- Basins & vanity units
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Wet rooms
- Baths
Can I fix it myself?
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is normally cheaper.
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.
Is resealing worth it?
Resealing is a small job. Leaving split or mouldy sealant lets water get behind the bath or tray, and that damage costs much more to fix. No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
