Bath & shower resealing (mastic) in Stone, Kent
Fixed-price bath resealing in Stone and the surrounding area, done in a single visit in most cases.
- Black mould in the sealant
- Discoloured, yellow sealant
- Missing sealant behind the taps

What affects the price in Stone
Every quote is fixed and free. What we take into account:
- How much damage there is
- The colour and finish to match
- What the surface is made of
- Access to the area
Instead of hourly rates, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.
Getting a price from pictures
Most quotes are done from pictures alone. To help us price it:
- Where you are, by postcode
- Something in shot to show the size
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the entire bath or shower, add your postcode and send them to us. You’ll get a fixed quote, not an estimate.
How we handle bath resealing in Stone
Baths are resealed with water in them, so the joint is at its widest, which stops the new seal tearing the first time the bath is used. Common call-outs are for old sealant that looks dirty and gaps in the seal, on basins & vanity units, wet rooms and kitchen worktops & sinks.
Peace of mind is built in: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we explain what it covers before booking.

Your questions about bath resealing in Stone
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
Yes. We carry out repairs for householders, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses across Kent.
Can you price it without visiting?
Yes, almost always. Clear pictures let us give you a fixed price without visiting.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes, for a year. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.
What happens if you find more damage?
If we find something the pictures didn’t show, we explain it first. The price only changes if you agree.
Can you repair several things at once?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include photos of each item.
Which areas do you work in?
All of Kent, and the rest of the UK. Travel is included in the price.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
Yes, we often do. Removing the old work can add time, and that’s in the quote.
I rent my home. Can I book you?
Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged.
Different materials, different repairs
Baths
We fill the bath before sealing, to open the joint fully.
Shower trays
Trays are sealed with weight on them, for the same reason.
Is resealing worth it?
Compared with repairing water damage, resealing is cheap. It’s a quick job that protects your walls and floors. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.

What we do, step by step
A typical visit goes like this: we arrive at the agreed slot, protect everything around the work area, do the job and clear up. Plan for about two hours for a bath from start to finish. Before we go, we will explain when it can be used and how to look after it.
- All the old sealant is cut out and removed.
- We clean the joint and treat any mould.
- We dry the joint thoroughly.
- We fill a bath with water before sealing so the gap is at its widest.
- We apply new mould-resistant silicone and tool it to a neat finish, taps included.
How to prepare
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Have a window or extractor fan available

Common problems we fix in Stone
No sealant lasts for ever. Each shower leaves moisture and soap behind, which mould feeds on, and the joint moves slightly every time the bath is filled.
Get in touch if you’ve noticed any of these:
- A messy previous reseal
- Damp near the bath
- Silicone coming away from the tiles
- Missing sealant behind the taps

What we can’t put right
Some jobs aren’t right for a repair, including:
- Hidden water damage
- Loose tiles, which need refixing first
- Movement in the bath or tray
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.
Surfaces we repair
- Basins & vanity units
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Wet rooms
- Baths
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
Looking after it afterwards
Most damage we see is avoidable. These habits help:
- Use the extractor fan
- Keep the joints dry
- Clean the joints with a mild cleaner
- Store bottles on a shelf
Let it cure fully before using the bath or shower, typically around 24 hours.
Black mould in sealant is not just unsightly. Resealing early keeps water out of the walls and floor.
For landlords and businesses
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access and we’ll handle the rest.
Hospitality businesses need rooms back in use quickly, so we keep visits short and tidy. We can work around your bookings.
