Bath Resealing in Stonesfield
Fixed-price bath resealing in Stonesfield and the surrounding area, done in a single visit in most cases.
- Gaps in the seal
- Leaks at the edges
- Old sealant that looks dirty

Aftercare tips
It’s all simple stuff:
- Wipe the joints dry after use
- Reseal when black spots won’t clean off
- Ventilate the bathroom well
- Store bottles on a shelf
Leave the sealant to cure for the time we give you, normally about a day.
Mouldy sealant is more than a cosmetic problem. Resealing early keeps water out of the walls and floor.
Bath resealing in Stonesfield without replacing anything
All of the old sealant is cut out, treat any mould, and apply fresh mould-resistant silicone. We reseal baths, showers, sinks and worktops, including the awkward bits behind the taps. Whether it’s mould you can’t clean out and discoloured, yellow sealant, we can help.
A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover.

The process
You do not need to empty the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and start once you are happy with the plan. It typically takes about two hours for a bath, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.
- First we strip out every bit of the old mastic.
- Next we clean the joint and deal with mould.
- We make sure the joint is completely dry.
- For a bath, we fill it with water first so the joint is at its widest.
- We apply new mould-resistant silicone and tool it to a neat finish, taps included.
How to prepare
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Let us know which floor the room is on

Advice
DIY repairs versus a professional job
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.
Stonesfield: your questions answered
Can you reseal over the old silicone?
We always remove the old sealant completely. New silicone will not bond to old.
Why does the silicone keep cracking?
Typically because the bath or tray moves, or it was sealed with the bath empty. We fill the bath before sealing it.
Is a repair better than a new one?
Usually, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we will say so.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit generally costs less than separate visits. Include photos of each item.
When can I use the bath after resealing?
Generally after around 24 hours. We will tell you the exact time.
Will the price change on the day?
If we find something the photos didn’t show, we explain it first. You decide whether to go ahead.
Are there extra charges for Stonesfield?
There is no separate call-out charge. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.
When can you do it?
Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we’ll do what we can.
