Bath resealing in Street, done in place
We reseal baths, shower trays, basins and worktops, with mould-resistant sanitary silicone. Most jobs take a couple of hours, plus curing time. If you are dealing with stained silicone and silicone smeared on tiles, we can normally put it right, on kitchen worktops & sinks, basins & vanity units and shower trays & enclosures alike.
We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you’re not left on your own once we’ve gone.

Why it’s worth resealing in Street
Sealing over old silicone is a false economy. It peels within weeks, and traps mould underneath. A proper reseal removes the old first. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
Why us?
- Rooms protected and left tidy
- We come to you, anywhere in the UK
- Most jobs done in one visit
- No need to remove anything

When a repair is not the answer
A repair isn’t right for every job, for example:
- Hollow or loose tiles
- Water damage behind the bath that needs a builder
- A bath or tray that moves, until its support is fixed
Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer.
Materials we repair
- Baths

What affects the price in Street
You won’t pay by the hour. The price is based on:
- How hard the colour is to match
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- The material and finish
- Access to the area
The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. You will see the full price before you book, with no extras added later.
Quotes from your photos
Before you send photos, a few simple things make all the difference:
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- Where you are, by postcode
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- Something in shot to show the size
Most clients in Street get their price from pictures. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.
DIY repairs versus a professional job
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair won’t last.
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
Street: your questions answered
Do you cover Street?
We do. We send a technician to Street for every job, with no extra charge for travel.
Is repairing better than replacing?
In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We will be honest if it’s not worth it.
Why does my sealant keep splitting?
Movement is the usual cause. We seal baths full of water.
Will you leave a mess?
No. The work area is masked and covered, and we leave the room clean.
Do you do work for letting agents?
Yes, frequently. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Yes, regularly. Removing the old work can add time, and that is in the quote.
Which areas do you work in?
Everywhere in the UK, Street included. There is no extra charge for travel.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit normally costs less than separate visits. Include pictures of each item.
Work for landlords and builders
Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover. Several plots can be done in one visit.
If you manage property in Street, we’ll quote for several properties at once. Send photos for each one and we’ll price them together.
Different materials, different repairs
Shower trays
We put weight on a tray before sealing it, so the joint is at its widest.
Baths
Baths are resealed with water in them, to open the joint fully.
Keeping it looking good
It’s all simple stuff, just a few sensible habits:
- Reseal when black spots won’t clean off
- Do not stand toiletries on the seal
- Give the seal a regular clean
- Ventilate the bathroom well
Use the extractor fan, wipe the joints dry after use, and clean them regularly with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.
If you notice damp, stains on the ceiling below or loose tiles, act quickly. There may be more going on, and we will say if you need a builder or plumber.
What happens on the day
A typical visit goes like this: we arrive at the agreed slot, protect everything around the work area, carry out the work and clear up. Plan for a couple of hours from start to finish. Before leaving, we tell you when it can be used and what to avoid for the first few days.
- We cut out all of the old sealant.
- We remove the residue and clean the joint.
- Any mould is treated and the joint dried.
- The bath is filled with water, or weight put on the tray.
- New mould-resistant silicone is applied and tooled neatly.
Preparing for the visit
- Keep a parking space free if you can
- Make sure the area is dry
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
How to get a price
