Landlords, agents and businesses in Swindon

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover. We can visit several plots in one trip.

For anyone letting property in or around Swindon, we will quote for several properties at once. Send photos for each one and we will price them together.

Signs you need bath resealing in Swindon

Most reseals are because of black mould. It grows into the silicone, so cleaning can’t get it all out.

Get in touch if you’ve noticed:

  • Missing sealant behind the taps
  • Silicone coming away from the tiles
  • Damp near the bath
  • Black spots in the silicone

What your quote should include

  • How changes to the job are handled
  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers
  • Whether the colour is mixed to match
  • Whether a trained technician does the job

How to compare quotes

What your bath or shower is made of matters

Sinks and worktops

We reseal basins, vanity tops and kitchen worktops, with the joint fully dried first.

Baths

Baths are resealed with water in them, to open the joint fully.

Aftercare tips

Once the work has cured, treat it gently:

  • Give the seal a regular clean
  • Keep bottles off the joints
  • Dry the seal after bathing
  • Ventilate the bathroom well

Use the extractor fan, dry the joints after bathing, and give them a regular clean with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.

Damp below or loose tiles need checking quickly. There may be more going on, and we’ll say if you need a builder or plumber.

Is resealing worth it?

Resealing costs very little and protects the walls and floor. Leaving failed sealant can let water cause damage that costs far more to fix. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and doing several items at once reduces it.

Your questions about bath resealing in Swindon

Do you come to Swindon?

Yes. We work across the UK and travel to Swindon and the rest of Swindon. Send photos and we will quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

How quickly can you book me in?

Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we’ll do what we can.

Are there extra charges for Swindon?

No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.

When can I use the bath after resealing?

Generally after around 24 hours. We’ll tell you the exact time.

Can pets and children be at home?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, so the repair is not disturbed while it cures.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit typically costs less than separate visits. Include pictures of each item.

What if the damage is worse than the photos show?

The price is fixed for what the photos show. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.

Is there any odour?

There may be a mild smell during the work that clears as it cures.

How it works

The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can carry on at home. Protection goes down first, then the work takes about two hours for a bath. At the end we talk you through how soon it can be used and how to look after it.

  1. The old silicone is cut out completely.
  2. We remove the residue and clean the joint.
  3. Any mould is treated and the joint dried.
  4. We fill the bath, or weight the tray, to open the joint.
  5. New mould-resistant silicone is applied and tooled neatly.

How to prepare

  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area

Should I try a DIY kit first?

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is usually the cheaper route.

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

What bath resealing costs

We charge the same across the UK, including Swindon. The price reflects:

  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear

A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. The full price is agreed before booking, with nothing added on the day.

Quotes from your pictures

Two or three clear photos are usually enough. Try to include:

  • One picture of the whole bath or shower
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings

Pricing is simple: snap the damage close up and then the whole item, send them to us with your postcode, and you will get a fixed price back. Quotes are free and no obligation.
