Bath Resealing for Talbot Green homes
We travel to Talbot Green for bath, shower and sink resealing with new mould-resistant silicone. Everything is done in place, and the work is guaranteed.
- An untidy old seal
- Discoloured, yellow sealant
- Leaks at the edges

How we handle bath resealing in Talbot Green
Resealing is one of the simplest ways to protect your bathroom. Old, split or mouldy sealant lets water get behind the bath or tray, and resealing puts a stop to that. Whether it’s gaps by the taps and discoloured, yellow sealant, we can help, whatever the material.
All our work comes with a one-year guarantee.

Resealing is a small job. Putting off a reseal lets water get behind the bath or tray, which costs far more to put right. The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. You will see the full price before you book, with no extras added later.

Shower trays
Trays are sealed with weight on them, for the same reason.

We fill the bath before sealing, to open the joint fully.
What a repair cannot fix
Not everything can be repaired, and we’d rather say so up front. Repairs will not solve:
- Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
- Water damage behind the bath that needs a builder
- A flexing bath
If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.

Talbot Green questions
What happens once I’ve sent pictures?
We look at the pictures and reply with a fixed quote and some dates. If anything’s unclear, we will ask for another photo.
Is repairing better than replacing?
In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we are working in. We’ll let you know when it’s safe to use again.
How long does silicone take to cure?
Normally after around 24 hours. We’ll tell you the exact time.
When can you do it?
It depends on the time of year and where you are. Send pictures with your postcode and we will reply with the earliest dates.
Why does my sealant keep going mouldy?
Generally poor ventilation and moisture sitting on the joint. Mould-resistant silicone and good ventilation help.
Do I have to be there?
Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time we agree with you.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
In most cases. We remove the old repair before doing a new one.
The process
A typical visit goes like this: we arrive at the agreed slot, protect everything around the work area, do the job and clear up. Allow around two hours. Before we go, we’ll explain how long to leave it and what to avoid for the first few days.
- All the old sealant is cut out and removed.
- We clean the joint and treat any mould.
- We dry the joint thoroughly.
- For a bath, we fill it with water first so the joint is at its widest.
- New mould-resistant silicone goes on and is tooled to a neat finish, taps included.
Before we arrive
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Clear the area around the damage
- Have a window or extractor fan available

Landlord and trade work in Talbot Green
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in Rhondda Cynon Taff and across the UK. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.
Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.
Prices and what affects them
A fixed quote means you know the cost before booking. We take into account:
- How many areas need work
- Unusual colours or finishes
- The type of damage
- How easy the damage is to reach
No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
How to get a fixed price
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:
- Natural light rather than flash
- A wider photo showing the entire bath or shower
- Any details about the material
- Something in shot to show the size
The quickest way to a price is to send two or three pictures using our quote form or call us. We’ll say straight away whether it can be repaired.
How to care for the repair
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Use the extractor fan
- Open a window after bathing
- Don’t stand toiletries on the seal
- Clean the joints with a mild cleaner
Run the extractor fan, wipe the joints dry after use, and clean them regularly with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.
Do not wait until water gets behind the bath. Gaps or lifting edges mean it needs doing.
