Bath Resealing in Trevarren
Our technicians come to Trevarren for bath, shower and sink resealing with new mould-resistant silicone. Nothing is taken out, with a one-year guarantee.
- Missing sealant behind the taps
- An untidy old seal
- Discoloured, yellow sealant

How we handle bath resealing in Trevarren
Resealing is quick, but it transforms the look. Clean, white joints make a bathroom look cared for, and they keep water out. Common call-outs are for silicone coming away from the tiles and damp near the bath, across shower trays & enclosures, wet rooms and baths.
Peace of mind is built in: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we’ll explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

Common problems we fix in Trevarren
No sealant lasts for ever. Every bath or shower adds moisture and soap residue, which mould loves, and the joint flexes each time the bath fills.
The things customers typically mention when they call are:
- Mould you cannot clean out
- Stained silicone
- A messy previous reseal
- Silicone coming away from the tiles
What to look for in a quote
- What prep work is covered
- Whether they match the colour on site
- Who turns up on the day
- If travel is included in the price
For landlords and businesses
For anyone letting property in or around Trevarren, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Just send photos for each address and we’ll price them together.
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
How we price bath resealing
A fixed quote means you know the cost before you book. We take into account:
- How many areas need work
- What the surface is made of
- How easy the damage is to reach
- Whether we combine several jobs
Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Trevarren. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
Quotes from your photos
A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- One picture of the entire bath or shower
A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the entire bath or shower, add your postcode and send them over. You will get a fixed quote, not an estimate.
What we do, step by step
Here’s how a visit usually runs: we arrive on time, protect everything around the work area, carry out the work and tidy away. Plan for around two hours. Before we go, we’ll explain how long to leave it and what to avoid for the first few days.
- The surrounding area is protected and the joints masked.
- We remove the old sealant and every trace of residue.
- We clean, treat and dry the joint.
- We run a continuous bead of new silicone.
- The bead is smoothed, the tape removed and the seal left to cure.
Getting ready for the visit
- Let us know which floor the room is on
- Keep a parking space free if you can
- Clear the area around the damage
How to get a price
Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them over with your postcode, and you will get a fixed price back. There’s no charge for the quote and you’re under no obligation.
Advice
Trevarren questions
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
In most cases. The old repair comes out first.
Are there extra charges for Trevarren?
No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.
Will you leave a mess?
We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and tidy up before we leave.
Is there any odour?
It depends on the job, but frequently a little. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum.
Can you repair several things at once?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.
Do you work in Trevarren?
Yes. We work across the UK and come to Trevarren. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
Generally, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.
Is the work guaranteed?
All our work carries our one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.
Materials and what they mean for the repair
Sinks and worktops
We reseal basins, vanity tops and kitchen worktops, once the joint is completely dry.
Shower trays
Trays are sealed with weight on them, for the same reason.

Keeping it looking good
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Keep bottles off the joints
- Use the extractor fan
- Open a window after bathing
- Wipe the joints dry after use
Use the extractor fan, dry the joints after bathing, and give them a regular clean with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.
Mouldy sealant is more than a cosmetic problem; it shows moisture is getting in. An early reseal keeps water where it belongs.

Should I try a DIY kit first?
A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
What a repair cannot fix
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- Movement in the bath or tray
- Very wide gaps that need a trim
- Water damage behind the bath that needs a builder
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.
