Bath resealing in Upper Wick, done in place
A proper reseal starts with removing every trace of the old silicone. New silicone will not bond to old, which is why many DIY jobs peel. If you’re dealing with damp near the bath and old sealant that looks dirty, we can help, on basins & vanity units, wet rooms and baths alike.
All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months in Upper Wick and everywhere else. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

Signs you need bath resealing in Upper Wick
A bathroom without good ventilation is hard on sealant: damp hangs around, and mould grows faster.
These are the problems we are asked about most:
- Discoloured, yellow sealant
- Sealant that is split or lifting
- Mould you can’t clean out
- An untidy old seal

For landlords and businesses
Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets need rooms back in use quickly, so we keep visits short and tidy. We can work around your bookings.
For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover. Several plots can be done in one visit.
Why it’s worth resealing in Upper Wick
A reseal is one of the cheapest bathroom jobs there is, and it protects everything around the bath. Failed sealant can lead to water damage that is much more expensive. The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. You’ll see the full price before booking, with nothing added on the day.

- Water damage behind the bath that needs a builder
Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly.

What we do, step by step
From the moment we arrive, we keep the work contained to the one room. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the work takes about two hours for a bath, depending on what we find, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.
- We cut out all of the old sealant.
- Residue is removed and the joint cleaned.
- We treat mould and dry the joint thoroughly.
- We fill the bath, or weight the tray, to open the joint.
- New mould-resistant silicone is applied and tooled neatly.
Before we arrive
- Keep a parking space free if you can
- Have a window or extractor fan available
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area

Aftercare tips
To keep it looking its best for years:
- Wipe the joints dry after use
- Air the room after use
- Reseal when black spots won’t clean off
- Run the extractor fan during and after showers
Let it cure fully before using the bath or shower, normally about a day.
Damp below or loose tiles need checking quickly. It may be more than a reseal, so we’ll tell you if it needs a builder or plumber.

What bath resealing costs
You will know the full cost before booking. We take into account:
- What the surface is made of
- The size and number of damaged areas
- Doing more than one item at once
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
Quotes from your pictures
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:
- A picture taken from further back
- Any details about the material
- Where you are, by postcode
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
You do not need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.
