Bath resealing at your home in Watt's Cross

All of the old sealant is cut out, deal with any mould, and apply fresh mould-resistant silicone. We reseal baths, showers, sinks and worktops, including the awkward bits behind the taps. We work on baths, basins & vanity units and kitchen worktops & sinks, and common reasons people get in touch are an untidy old seal and gaps in the seal.

Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do.

FAQs for Watt's Cross

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Just add the extra items to your photos and you’ll get one combined price.

What does bath resealing cost?

We give a fixed quote from your photos. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo and your postcode.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Just keep them out of the work area. We’ll tell you when the room can be used again.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

In most cases. We remove the old repair before doing a new one, so mention it when you send photos.

Will there be a smell?

It depends on the job, but frequently a little. Open windows and an extractor fan help.

How long before I can shower?

We will give you the curing time, generally around a day.

How long does a reseal take?

Most reseals take about two hours. Leave it to cure before use.

What happens if you find more damage?

If we find something the pictures didn’t show, we explain it first. The price only changes if you agree.

Resealing in Watt's Cross: why it matters

Sealing over old silicone is a false economy. It soon peels, and traps mould underneath. We remove the old sealant completely. Rather than charging by the hour, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it.

Why us?

  • Free fixed quotes from pictures
  • We leave the room as we found it
  • No extra charge for your area
  • CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited

Looking after it afterwards

To keep it looking its best for years:

  • Reseal when black spots will not clean off
  • Do not stand toiletries on the seal
  • Clean the joints with a mild cleaner
  • Run the extractor fan during and after showers

Use the extractor fan, dry the joints after bathing, and give them a regular clean with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.

Reseal before water gets in. Gaps or lifting edges mean it needs doing.

For landlords and businesses

Hospitality businesses need rooms back in use quickly, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

DIY kit or professional repair?

If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.

What happens on the day

There’s not much you need to do on the day. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we will get on with it. Most visits take a couple of hours, including clearing up.

  1. The surrounding area is protected and the joints masked.
  2. We remove the old sealant and every trace of residue.
  3. The joint is cleaned, treated and dried.
  4. We run a continuous bead of new silicone.
  5. The bead is smoothed, the tape removed and the seal left to cure.

Preparing for the visit

  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area

How we price bath resealing

Each job gets its own fixed price. This is what makes a difference:

  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • What kind of damage it is

We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for Watt's Cross. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Getting a price from pictures

We price nearly every job from photos. This is what to send:

  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • One picture of the whole bath or shower

You do not need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.
