Bath & shower resealing (mastic) in Wildmoor, Hampshire
Local bath resealing for Wildmoor: photo quotes, tidy work and a year’s guarantee.
- Black mould in the sealant
- Gaps in the seal
- Gaps by the taps

Aftercare tips
To keep it looking its best:
- Let steam out after showers
- Clean the joints with a mild cleaner
- Replace the seal when mould sets in
- Use the extractor fan
Leave the sealant to cure for the time we give you, normally around 24 hours.
Black mould in sealant isn’t just unsightly; it shows moisture is getting in. Resealing early keeps water out of the walls and floor.
Bath resealing at your home in Wildmoor
A good reseal is all about preparation: every bit of old silicone out, mould treated, the joint clean and dry. Then the fresh sealant goes on, in a neat, continuous bead. We regularly repair basins & vanity units, shower trays & enclosures and kitchen worktops & sinks, and common reasons people get in touch are a messy previous reseal and black mould in the sealant.
We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you are not left on your own once we’ve gone.

Work for landlords and builders
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send photos, the address and how to get access and we will handle the rest.
When we would advise against a repair
A repair is not always the answer, and we would rather say so up front. We can’t fix:
- Movement in the bath or tray
- Hollow or loose tiles
- Very wide gaps that need a trim
If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.
What we work on
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Baths
- Wet rooms
- Basins & vanity units
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
How the visit works
Here’s how a visit usually runs: we arrive on time, sheet and mask the area around the job, carry out the work and tidy away. Allow around two hours from start to finish. Before we go, we’ll explain when it can be used and what to avoid for the first few days.
- The old silicone is cut out completely.
- We remove the residue and clean the joint.
- We treat mould and dry the joint thoroughly.
- We fill the bath, or weight the tray, to open the joint.
- New mould-resistant silicone is applied and tooled neatly.
How to prepare
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible

Wildmoor: your questions answered
Can I get a quote without a visit?
In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the photos cannot show what we need.
Are you accredited?
Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
Just keep them out of the work area. We’ll tell you when the room can be used again.
Can new silicone go over old?
All the old sealant comes out. New silicone will not bond to old.
What information do you need?
A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.
How long will it take?
A bath or shower normally takes a couple of hours. It then needs time to cure.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes, for a year. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
Is there any odour?
A little, depending on the job. Open windows and an extractor fan help, and it soon fades.

How we price bath resealing
We charge the same across the UK, including Wildmoor. The price reflects:
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- The material
- Whether we combine several jobs
No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
Send pictures for a quote
You can take the photos on your phone. Just ensure we can see:
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- Any details about the material
- A photo taken from further back
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
For most jobs, pictures are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

DIY kit or professional repair?
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is normally cheaper.
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
Why it’s worth resealing in Wildmoor
A reseal is one of the cheapest bathroom jobs there is, and it protects everything around the bath. Leaving failed sealant can let water cause damage that costs far more to fix. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed price from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.
