  • Unsealed corners
  • Water getting behind the bath or tray
  • A messy previous reseal

Choosing a repair company

Bath resealing at your home in Woodstock

Resealing is quick, but it transforms the look. Clean, white joints make a bathroom look cared for, and they protect the walls and floor. We’re frequently asked to fix silicone coming away from the tiles and old sealant that looks dirty, in wet rooms, shower trays & enclosures and kitchen worktops & sinks.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If there’s a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it.

What affects the price in Woodstock

There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price is based on:

  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out

We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for Woodstock. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Send pictures for a quote

Photographing the damage takes a minute. Try to send:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • The material, if you know it
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • Details of any past repairs

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the whole bath or shower, add your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

Different materials, different repairs

Baths

We fill the bath before sealing, to open the joint fully.

Sinks and worktops

Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, once the joint is completely dry.

Is resealing worth it?

Resealing costs very little. Leaving failed sealant can let water cause damage that costs far more to fix. There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Woodstock questions

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, so the repair isn’t disturbed while it cures.

Is my repair covered?

Yes, for a year. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

When can you do it?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. We will offer you dates when we send your quote.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Nearly always. If pictures do not show enough, we will ask for another angle.

How do I get a price for bath resealing in Woodstock?

Because every job differs, we price from pictures. You will get a fixed figure before booking.

Is it messy?

Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.

Are you accredited?

We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.

How do I stop mould in sealant?

Mostly moisture and poor ventilation. We use mould-resistant silicone, and ventilation helps it last.

When a repair is not the answer

A repair isn’t right for every job, for example:

  • Rotten walls or floors behind the bath
  • Gaps so wide they need filling or trims before sealing
  • Loose tiles, which need refixing first

If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think.

Surfaces we repair

  • Wet rooms
  • Kitchen worktops & sinks
  • Basins & vanity units
  • Shower trays & enclosures
  • Baths

How the visit works

There’s not much you need to do on the day. Let us in and show us the room, and we will take it from there. Most visits take about two hours for a bath, tidy-up included.

  1. The old silicone is cut out completely.
  2. We remove the residue and clean the joint.
  3. Any mould is treated and the joint dried.
  4. We fill the bath, or weight the tray, to open the joint.
  5. We apply fresh mould-resistant silicone and tool a neat bead.

How to prepare

  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Let us know which floor the room is on

How to get a price

Upload photos of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, with your OX20 postcode, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.

For landlords and businesses

Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We can work around your bookings.

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Oxfordshire and across the UK. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.

Keeping it looking good

A little care keeps the finish looking good. We recommend:

  • Air the room after use
  • Run the extractor fan during and after showers
  • Replace the seal when mould sets in
  • Give the seal a regular clean

Run the extractor fan, dry the joints after bathing, and give them a regular clean with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.

Damp below or loose tiles need checking quickly. It may be more than a reseal, so we’ll tell you if it needs a builder or plumber.
