Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Beacon's Bottom

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. We work on whole bathroom suites, coloured basins and avocado, pampas and pink baths, and people most frequently call us about faded or patchy colour and selling or letting a home with an old suite.

You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we will come back. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

The process

On the day itself, there is little for you to do. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we will take it from there. The job generally runs to one to two days for a full suite.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. We leave everything to cure, generally until the day after.

Before we arrive

  • Point us to the nearest place to park
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children

Should I try a DIY kit first?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair won’t last.

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

When a repair isn’t the answer

A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think before you book.

Surfaces we repair

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays

Beacon's Bottom questions

Does someone need to be in?

Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time that suits you.

Is repairing better than replacing?

Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it is not worth repairing, we’ll tell you.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Nearly always. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures can’t show what we need.

How soon can you come?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. Send photos with your postcode and we’ll reply with the earliest dates.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes, often. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.

Will there be a smell?

It depends on the job, but often a little. Open windows and an extractor fan help, and it soon fades.

Do you hold any accreditations?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Prices start from £350. We price every job individually. What matters most is:

  • The type of damage
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • What the surface is made of

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Getting a price from photos

Phone pictures are fine, there is no need for anything special. Just make sure we can see:

  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit

Email us a picture of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, and tell us you are in Beacon's Bottom, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.

Should you replace it?

Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

Why us?

  • Every repair guaranteed for a year
  • Honest advice, even when it means no job
  • Repair technicians who travel to you, UK-wide
  • Colour-matched on site
