Coloured bath resurfacing in The City, done in place
Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. A full suite is usually done in one to two days. We regularly repair avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured basins and coloured shower trays, and common reasons people contact us are a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and faded or patchy colour.
You’re covered after we leave: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we’ll explain exactly what it covers when we quote. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

What we do, step by step
Once we’re through the door, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. We mask off everything nearby, the job takes one to two days for a full suite, depending on what we find, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
- The surface is prepared and primed.
- We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
- Each item is left to cure, usually ready the following day.
Preparing for the visit
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
- Point us to the nearest place to park
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
Getting a price
You don’t need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.

The City questions
Do I have to be there?
Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.
Can tenants book a repair?
Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Landlords are often glad to have it sorted.
What about the toilet?
Talk to us first. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we will advise honestly before quoting.
What happens if you find more damage?
The price is fixed for what the pictures show. If there’s more, we’ll tell you before starting.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
In most cases. We remove the old repair before doing a new one.
What areas do you cover?
All of Buckinghamshire, and the rest of the UK. There is no extra charge for travel.
What does coloured bath resurfacing cost?
Resurfacing from £350. Every job gets a fixed quote based on photos of the damage. Send a close-up and a photo of the whole item with your HP14 postcode.
Will you leave a mess?
We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and we clean up when we have finished.
For landlords and businesses
We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
If you manage property in The City, we’ll quote for several properties at once. Just send pictures for each address and we will price them together.
Common problems we fix in The City
Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is typically the colour, not the bath.
The things customers usually mention when they call are:
- A suite that does not match a new bathroom
- Faded or patchy colour
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
What your quote should include
- Who will actually do the work
- If travel is included in the price
- A fixed price, and whether VAT is included
- Whether the colour is mixed to match
How we price coloured bath resurfacing
Resurfacing from £350. There is no charge for travel to The City. The price depends on:
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- The colour and finish to match
- How many areas need work
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
Getting a price from photos
Before you send photos, a few simple things make all the difference:
- Where you are, by postcode
- Any details about the material
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
Pricing is simple: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them to us with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price. Quotes are free and you are under no obligation.

Should I try a DIY kit first?
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
Repairing versus replacing in The City
Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. The full price is agreed before booking, with nothing added on the day.

What we can’t put right
In fairness, some problems need a different fix:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
