Coloured bath resurfacing in Becontree, done in place

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there is no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Common call-outs are for a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, in avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured shower trays and whole bathroom suites.

Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

How the visit works

Arrival times are agreed in advance, so you know when to expect us. Once we are there, the work takes one to two days for a full suite in most cases. The room is left tidy.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work

How to get a price

Send us a photo of the damage and one of the whole item, with your RM9 postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. We don’t add extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Why Becontree clients choose us

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Becontree?

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is normally the colour, not the bath.

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom

  • What protection goes down before work starts
  • Whether the colour is mixed to match
  • When it can be used again
  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers

Our hiring checklist

What affects the price in Becontree

Prices start from £350. We price every job individually. What matters most is:

  • The type of damage
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • The material and finish
  • How easy the damage is to reach

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

How to get a fixed price

The better the photos, the more accurate the price. Here’s what helps:

  • One picture of the whole suite
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • The material, if you know it
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale

Pricing is simple: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them over with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed quote back. Quotes are free and no obligation.

What a repair cannot fix

Not everything can be repaired, and we’ll tell you before we start. Repairs won’t solve:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer.

What we work on

  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites

DIY kit or professional repair?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair won’t last.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
