Coloured bath resurfacing for London homes

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Prices start from £350. We price every job individually, from your photos. What matters most is:

  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Access to the area
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • The colour and finish to match

The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. You’ll see the full price before you book, with nothing added on the day.

Getting a price from photos

Most quotes are done from photos alone. To help us price it:

  • Natural light rather than flash
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • A picture taken from further back

The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of photos through our quote form or ring us. We’ll tell you honestly whether it can be repaired.

Coloured bath resurfacing in London, done in place

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. A full suite is generally done in one to two days. We’re frequently asked to fix faded or patchy colour and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white, on coloured basins, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured shower trays.

Peace of mind is built in: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we explain what it covers before booking. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

What a repair can’t fix

Some jobs aren’t right for a repair, including:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.

Materials we work on in London

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins

What happens on the day

A typical visit goes like this: we arrive on time, sheet and mask the area around the job, do the job and tidy away. Allow a day or two, depending on how many items. Before leaving, we tell you when it can be used and what to avoid for the first few days.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. We leave everything to cure, typically until the following day.

Preparing for the visit

  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Open a window if you can

Questions from London

Are you a vetted contractor?

We are accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.

Can you do the toilet too?

Ask us. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we’ll advise honestly before quoting.

Can you repair something that’s been repaired before?

Generally, yes. Let us know what was used before and we will plan for it.

Do you cover London?

Yes. We work across the UK and come to London. Send us photos for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Is repairing better than replacing?

Typically, if the item is otherwise sound. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. If replacing would be better, we will say so.

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses across Greater London.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Generally, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed quote.

Landlord and trade work in London

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in London as well as homeowners. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it costs much less than replacing.

Should you replace it?

Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing turns it white without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Signs you need coloured bath resurfacing in London

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.

People generally call us when they notice something like this:

10 questions to ask before you book

Can I fix it myself?

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
