Coloured bath resurfacing near Big Mancot

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.

Why us?

  • Straight answers about what a repair can do
  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited
  • A year’s guarantee on all work
  • Most jobs done in one visit

About our coloured bath resurfacing in Big Mancot

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. A full suite is normally done in one to two days. Typical jobs include selling or letting a home with an old suite and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, on coloured shower trays, whole bathroom suites and avocado, pampas and pink baths.

You’re covered after we leave: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

What happens on the day

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we’ve agreed what we’re doing. It normally takes one to two days for a full suite, and you can get on with other things while we are there.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.

Before we arrive

  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area

When to call us in Big Mancot

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s generally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Look out for these signs:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom

What to look for in a quote

  • What the guarantee covers, and for how long
  • How soon you can use it again
  • Whether they match the colour on site
  • Whether the price covers travel

10 questions to ask before you book

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. Prices are worked out job by job. What matters most is:

  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first

Compared with replacing, a repair is usually a fraction of the price, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

Getting a price from photos

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage, and it saves a visit. Try to send:

  • One picture of the entire suite
  • Any details about the material
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus

To get a price, send two or three photos using our quote form or ring us. We’ll tell you honestly if a repair is the right fix.

Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time we agree with you.

Will the price change on the day?

Your quote covers the damage in the photos. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.

When can you do it?

Your quote comes with available dates. Tell us if you need it done quickly.

Can you price it without visiting?

Nearly always. If photos don’t show enough, we will ask for another angle.

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes, frequently. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.

What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, and the work is guaranteed.

Honest limits

It helps to know what we can’t do:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly.
