Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Holywell?
Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s generally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Holywell
Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. We’re often asked to fix faded or patchy colour and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, in whole bathroom suites, coloured basins and coloured shower trays.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you’re covered after the visit. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

What we do, step by step
We work cleanly and quietly, so you can stay at home while we’re there. Protection goes down first, then the work takes one to two days for a full suite. Before we leave, we explain the curing time and the aftercare.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
- We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
- Each item is left to cure, normally ready the next day.
Before we arrive
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
- Ensure the area is dry
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
How to get a price
You do not need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.

When we would advise against a repair
We’d rather lose a job than do one that will not last, so here’s what a repair cannot put right:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.
What we work on
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
- Whole bathroom suites
- Coloured shower trays
- Coloured basins
What coloured bath resurfacing costs
Resurfacing from £350. There’s no area surcharge for Holywell. The price reflects:
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- How many areas need work
- The material
- Access to the area
We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for Holywell. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
How to get a fixed price
Good photos mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- A wider photo showing the entire suite
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
If you’re in Holywell and want a price, photos are the quickest way: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. You’ll get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.
Should you replace it?
Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white changes the colour with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. Set against the cost of replacement, repairing typically costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.
Why book with us

Landlord and trade work in Holywell
We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

DIY repairs versus a professional job
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.
