How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Blackwell

Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. We are frequently asked to fix a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and selling or letting a home with an old suite, on avocado, pampas and pink baths, whole bathroom suites and coloured basins.

Every repair is covered by our one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Worcestershire. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Work for landlords and builders

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send photos, the address and how to get access and we will arrange it.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Blackwell?

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s generally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

These are the problems we’re asked about most:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

How to compare quotes

Should you replace it?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed quote from your photos, so you know the cost before booking.

Why book with us

  • Same prices wherever you are
  • A year’s guarantee on all work
  • Everything repaired in place
  • Generally one visit, start to finish

Your questions about coloured bath resurfacing in Blackwell

Is there a guarantee?

Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.

Which areas do you work in?

Across the UK. Prices don’t change with location.

Can landlords book you?

Yes. We carry out repairs for householders, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses across Worcestershire.

Do you hold any accreditations?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

Is there a call-out fee?

We don’t add a call-out fee. Your fixed price includes everything.

What happens after I send pictures?

You get a fixed quote and available dates. If we need another angle, we will ask.

How do I book?

Send photos through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787, and we’ll do the rest.

When can you do it?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair won’t last.

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. Prices are worked out job by job. What matters most is:

  • The colour and finish to match
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • The material

Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

How to get a fixed quote

Most quotes are done from photos alone. To help us price it:

  • Details of any past repairs
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • One picture of the entire suite
  • Natural light rather than flash

Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them to us with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote. There is no charge for the quote and you are under no obligation.

The process

On the day, we arrive at the time we’ve agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. Expect it to take one to two days for a full suite. We tidy up before we leave and let you know when you can use it again.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.

Before we arrive

  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Have a window or extractor fan available

What we cannot put right

To be straight with you, there are a few things a repair won’t fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer before you book.
