About our coloured bath resurfacing in Botany

A full suite is usually done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there is no plumbing or tiling. If you’re dealing with a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and faded or patchy colour, we can help, whatever the material.

We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you’re not left on your own once we have gone. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Landlord and trade work in Botany

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Botany as well as householders. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it generally costs far less than a refit.

Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. We can visit several plots in one trip.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing turns it white without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

What you get with us

  • Most jobs done in one visit
  • Nothing taken out or refitted
  • CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited
  • Work done at your home or business

How the visit works

The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can stay at home while we are there. We protect the area first, then the job itself takes one to two days for a full suite. Before we leave, we explain how soon it can be used and how to care for it.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. We leave everything to cure, usually until the next day.

How to prepare

  • Ensure the area is dry
  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible

Advice

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Prices start from £350. We do not charge extra for travel to Botany. The price depends on:

  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first

We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Botany. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

How to get a fixed price

You can take the pictures on your phone. Just make sure we can see:

  • Details of any past repairs
  • A wider photo showing the whole suite
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area

A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the suite, add your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

When to call us in Botany

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is generally the colour, not the bath.

Keep an eye out for any of the following:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Faded or patchy colour

Questions from Botany

Is the work guaranteed?

All our work carries our one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

Can you do the toilet too?

Ask us. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we’ll tell you what will last.

Will there be a smell?

A little, depending on the job. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum.

What do you need from me?

Send photos through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787, and we will take it from there.

Do you cover Botany?

Yes. We work across the UK and travel to Botany. Send photos and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Get your landlord’s agreement first.

What if the damage is worse than the pictures show?

Your quote covers the damage in the pictures. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.

What a repair cannot fix

A repair is not right for every job, including:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly.

Materials we repair

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
