Coloured bath resurfacing in Bratoft

Coloured bath resurfacing in Bratoft, done in place

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. We regularly repair whole bathroom suites, coloured basins and coloured shower trays, and common reasons people get in touch are faded or patchy colour and selling or letting a home with an old suite.

You’re covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

What we cannot put right

It helps to know what we cannot do:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.

Surfaces we repair

  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites

Should you replace it?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. You will see the full price before booking, with nothing added on the day.

Why us?

  • No need to remove anything
  • Colour-matched on site
  • Same prices wherever you are
  • Fixed prices from your pictures

See our full price list or guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

When to call us in Bratoft

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s generally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Look out for these signs:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom

What to look for in a quote

  • How the colour is matched
  • If travel is included in the price
  • How changes to the job are handled
  • Who will actually do the work

How to compare quotes

How the visit works

Visits start with a quick look at the job together, so there are no surprises. Next, we cover and mask everything nearby and we start. Allow one to two days for a full suite, and we will keep you posted as we go.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. We leave everything to cure, normally until the following day.

Before we arrive

  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Point us to the nearest place to park

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Prices start from £350. We price every job individually, from your pictures. What matters most is:

  • How hard the colour is to match
  • The material and finish
  • What kind of damage it is
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first

Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Bratoft. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Quotes from your pictures

We price nearly every job from photos. This is what to send:

  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • A wider photo showing the whole suite
  • Any details about the material

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the entire suite, include your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.
