Coloured bath resurfacing near Skegness

When to call us in Skegness

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is typically the colour, not the bath.

If you can see any of these, send us a picture:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

Questions to ask before booking

  • How the room is protected while they work
  • What happens if they find more damage
  • Whether the colour is mixed to match
  • When it can be used again

About our coloured bath resurfacing in Skegness

A full suite is normally done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. If you’re dealing with a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and faded or patchy colour, we can help, on coloured basins, coloured shower trays and whole bathroom suites alike.

We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you are not left on your own once we’ve gone. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Should you replace it?

Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

What you get with us

  • We leave the room as we found it
  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited
  • Same prices wherever you are
  • Normally one visit, start to finish

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Resurfacing from £350. Prices are worked out job by job. What matters most is:

  • What kind of damage it is
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • The colour and finish to match
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out

A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. You’ll see the full price before you book.

Quotes from your photos

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. It helps if you send:

  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • The material, if you know it
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area

There’s no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price.

What a repair cannot fix

Not everything can be repaired, and we’d rather say so up front. We can’t fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly before booking.

What we work on

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays

What we do, step by step

Here’s how a visit generally runs: we arrive at the agreed slot, sheet and mask the area around the job, carry out the work and clear up. Allow one to two days for a full suite from start to finish. Before leaving, we tell you how long to leave it and how to look after it.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Each item is left to cure, usually ready the day after.

Preparing for the visit

  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift

Can I fix it myself?

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.

Work for landlords and builders

We’re used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access and we will handle the rest.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

Skegness: your questions answered

Are you a vetted contractor?

We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes, often. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.

Will there be a smell?

Expect a mild smell while we’re working that clears as it cures.

What happens if you find more damage?

If we find something the photos didn’t show, we explain it first. You decide whether to go ahead.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Landlords are often glad to have it sorted before the end of a tenancy.

Do you charge for travel?

Travel is included in the price, with the same prices everywhere we work.

Is there a guarantee?

Yes, for a year. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

Will it make a mess?

We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and we clean up when we have finished.
