Repair or replace in Bridge?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

Why book with us

  • Generally one visit, start to finish
  • CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish
  • Technicians who travel to you, UK-wide

What we do, step by step

You do not need to empty the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and start once you are happy with the plan. It typically takes one to two days for a full suite, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Each item is left to cure, generally ready the following day.

Preparing for the visit

  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Open a window if you can

Advice

Landlords, agents and businesses in Bridge

Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Bridge use us as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it costs much less than replacing.

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.

Common questions in Bridge

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Most of the time. Let us know what was used before and we’ll plan for it.

What happens if you find more damage?

Your quote covers the damage in the pictures. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.

How do I get a price for coloured bath resurfacing in Bridge?

Prices start from £350. We give a fixed price based on photos of the damage. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo with your CT4 postcode.

Can pets and children be at home?

We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work and until it has cured. Everywhere else in the home is fine.

What areas do you cover?

The whole UK, including all of Kent. Send your postcode with your pictures and we will offer you dates.

Can you price it without visiting?

In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures can’t show what we need.

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit normally costs less than separate visits. Send photos of everything you’d like done.

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes, frequently. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. You will not pay by the hour. The price is based on:

  • The colour and finish to match
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • What kind of damage it is

A repair generally costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send photos and we’ll give you the exact figure.

Getting a price from photos

You can take the photos on your phone, there’s no need for anything special. Make sure they show:

  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • A photo taken from further back
  • Natural light rather than flash

Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them to us with your postcode, and you will get a fixed quote back. There is no charge for the quote and you’re under no obligation.

Honest limits

In fairness, some problems need a different fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.

Materials we work on in Bridge

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Bridge?

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Send us a picture if you notice any of these:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

What your quote should include

  • Whether they match the colour on site
  • How changes to the job are handled
  • How soon you can use it again
  • What the guarantee covers, and for how long

How to compare quotes

Can I fix it myself?

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
