Bath re-enamelling across Bridge and nearby, normally in one visit.
- Resurfacing from £350
- A coating lifting around the plughole
- Several chips and rust patches

What bath re-enamelling costs
Prices start from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including Bridge. What changes the price is:
- How much damage there is
- The material and finish
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- Unusual colours or finishes
What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your pictures, so you know the cost before you book.
How to get a fixed price
The better the photos, the more accurate the price. Here’s what helps:
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- One picture of the entire bath
- Details of any past repairs
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
To get a price, send two or three pictures through our quote form or call us. We’ll say right away if a repair is the right fix.
How we handle bath re-enamelling in Bridge
We resurface cast iron, steel and acrylic baths, including roll-tops and period baths. Several coats of finish go on over a bonding primer, after the bath has been cleaned, repaired and keyed. Whether it’s lots of chips and rust spots and staining under the taps and around the waste, we can help, on Victorian roll-tops, cast iron baths and pressed steel baths alike.
All our work is covered by a one-year guarantee.

How it works
Visits start with a quick look at the job together, so there are no surprises. Then the area is sheeted and masked and we start. Allow the best part of a day.
- We mask and protect the room and ventilate it.
- Next we degrease the bath and fix chips and rust spots.
- We key the surface and put on a bonding primer.
- Several coats of new finish are sprayed on.
- Once cured, normally by the next day, the bath is ready.
Getting ready for the visit
- Open a window if you can
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
- Ensure the area is dry

Advice
FAQs for Bridge
Can landlords book you?
We do, regularly. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.
How long will the bath be out of use?
Most baths are done in a day and can be used the day after. We will confirm timings when we quote.

We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Generally, yes. The old repair comes out first.
Do the materials smell?
A little, depending on the job. Open windows and an extractor fan help, and it soon fades.
Do you work in Bridge?
We do. Technicians travel to Bridge from across the region, with no extra charge for travel.
Are there extra charges for Bridge?
No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.
Do I have to be there?
Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time that suits you.
Repairing versus replacing in Bridge
There are times replacing is better: a cracked-through bath, a change of size or shape, or a full refit. Otherwise, resurfacing typically wins. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you’ll get a fixed figure.

Keeping it looking good
Most damage we see is avoidable. These habits help:
- Leave the bath for the full curing time before using it
- Repair dripping taps early
- Dry the bath after use to stop limescale
- Never use suction bath mats
Use mild, non-abrasive cleaners, do not use suction bath mats, and keep bottles and razors off the surface.
Avoid scrubbing a dull bath with abrasive cleaners. It just wears the enamel further and makes resurfacing more work.
Landlord and trade work in Bridge
Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
Hospitality businesses can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We will fit around changeovers where we can.
Honest limits
Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair will not do:
- Steel that has corroded right through
- A cast iron or steel bath that is cracked right through
- Damage hidden under a previous coating, until it’s stripped back
Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer before you book.

DIY kit or professional repair?
What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.
About our accreditations · Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee.
