Coloured bath resurfacing for Bridgerule homes

Coloured bath resurfacing in Bridgerule without replacing anything

Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there is no plumbing or tiling. If you are dealing with selling or letting a home with an old suite and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white, we can help, on avocado, pampas and pink baths, whole bathroom suites and coloured basins alike.

You’re covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Prices start from £350. We don’t charge extra for travel to Bridgerule. The price comes down to:

  • Access to the area
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • Whether we combine several jobs

The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed quote from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

How to get a fixed quote

Two or three clear photos are usually enough. It helps if you send:

  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • The material, if you know it
  • A wider photo showing the entire suite
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area

We price from pictures so you don’t have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

Repairing versus replacing in Bridgerule

Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Common questions in Bridgerule

How do I book?

Some photos, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, we only need access to the room.

Is it messy?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.

What happens if you find more damage?

Your quote covers the damage in the photos. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Generally, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it isn’t worth repairing, we will tell you.

How quickly can you book me in?

We will give you dates with your quote. If it’s urgent, say so and we’ll do what we can.

Do you cover the whole of Devon?

Everywhere in the UK, Bridgerule included. There is no extra charge for travel.

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes. We carry out repairs for householders, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses across Devon.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit and until it has cured. The rest of the house is unaffected.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Bridgerule

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

Letting agents frequently send us photos straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

Honest limits

Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly.

Materials we repair

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins

How it works

Your technician turns up at the time we agreed with you and looks over the damage before anything else. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before any work starts. Most visits take a day or two, depending on how many items, and we leave the room as we found it.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.

Preparing for the visit

  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Make sure the room can be ventilated

Ask for a price

Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them to us with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price. There is no charge for the quote and no obligation.

Signs you need coloured bath resurfacing in Bridgerule

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.

It’s worth getting a quote if you see:

  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

What to look for in a quote

  • Who will actually do the work
  • If travel is included in the price
  • What preparation is included
  • How the room is protected while they work
